Emotionally good story. Not the best «storyline» or the best illustrations, but juts a very well done story about friendship and being kind to each other. You just have to agree with the positive message in this one.
2,5/5. Just really weird. Not much story in it or anything. A filler!
Really good issue in a really good mini-series. Not as great as The Button, but the Batman/Flash crossover are always entertaining. It also opens up on another news series that will be some kind of continuation of this one that look promising! Love it!
2,5/5. I had like the first volume and didn’t understand all the hate and the flaws that people said this book has, but now, in the second, my eyes open and I see them all! This book is not really good. All the way through it I just can’t stop thinking that this look like the author write a single book and then decide to make it into a series. It just looks exactly the same as the first one. There is not evolution in the character or in the plot. And Eragon is just to polish as a hero for my taste. The guy always made the good decision, he think of everybody well being before him, he is the better fighter, the best magician, he is now immortal, he can ride dragon, he is the heroes that as promise and so on...This perfect and all mighty hero remind me of my game, when I was a kid, and that I play imaginary game, and I have all the powers unimaginable and when something happen that I didn’t think of, then I just had a new power. I recently listen to and interview with R. A. Salvatore and he was saying that in fantasy he can, has a reader, accept almost anything as long as it respect the rule that this imaginary universe has put into place. You can’t make or change the rules as you go on into the story because that would make it «unrealistic». And I agree with that. Unfortunately the author of Eragon did that, he change everything and always adapt everything so Eragon, his hero, his always one step ahead and just too good in every aspect to make it «real». I will still read the third one, see if it gets better or worse, but this one was a disappointment for me.
3,5/5. This was a very weird play. But I like it! This is one of those books that are hard to review.... There is many level of comprehension to it, good criticism of society, humor and absurdity in a good amount and some good use of words and speech. I’m no expert in play and I don’t read much of them, no more than a dozen a year, probably a bit less (8-10), but I try to explore this genre a bit and see what kind of form it could take. I like it, won’t made it to my favorite, but it just made me appreciate a bit more of Don DeLillo that I had recently discover and that make me go from surprise to surprise An interesting author and a good enough play!
Awesome like always but we also introduce a new kind of villains which is really good and we learn again a bit more about the organization. Solid one!!
I was beginning to think maybe I was the problem, but if you look at the review or average score, it's really low, so I may not be the only one to think it's going down big time!
This is a book that suppose to do two things. First help you organized your though kind of, and the book is, in my opinion, not really well organized. Second, it pretend to help creative people finding a way to brainstorm/organized their thoughts, but if you're creative I think you should be able to use your creativity to find your own way to do it, that is way creativity is... I just don't see the points with this one, I was curious to have a look and that's why I pick it. but for me this is the kind of book that tell you how to do something without being able to do it. Like the guys who will explain how to write a best-seller but who hasn't write one. Not really worth it!
This was my first try with microfiction. I find the idea interesting, but those stories also didn't felt much like stories, but more like glimpses or pieces of them, they felt uncompleted and too short for my taste I guess. I did like the way that author can play and try style or narrative variation, because it's so short that it allow the author a great liberty and its a good way to experiment stuff. I won,t become a ferocious microfiction reader, but I like the experience and I think this book is a good way for fans of the genres to see what has been done recently and for newcomers to discover a new genres and see if they like it.
