This one look like it try to start something really epic and it might do it, but the first one was really slow, lot of talking, nothing more. Kind of an introduction. Alone it didn't worth it much, but if it evolve in a good way it may have been a good start... it will depend how it goes next... Will see!
An interesting chronicles of Palestine living. Unfortunately, I just read Chroniques de Jérusalem by Guy Delisle, and it was quite similar, but better, if I haven't read it, and might have appreciated this one more. That being said, this book is all about simplicyt in it's artwork and story, kind of a journal about living in Palestine, the life of the people their and the political issues. Well done but just a bad timing for me reading it. I though about giving it three, but I think that with a better timing it might have gotten a four, so I'm going with a 3,5/5.
2,5/5. A bit too long for the targeted public. I also find the illustrations to simple and not attractive enough. The story is alright with a typical narrative development. A bit to typical overall, average, nothing to make it stand out of the mass.
I was expecting something a bit more intense, but the rivalry between the Joker and Batman is always fun and entertaining so it's still a good one!
A beautiful and well done hiking guide for kids. It covers all of the important aspect of hiking: where to goes and the difference between places, when to go, what to bring and wear, check-list to not forget, event a short selection of game to play while hiking and many more. Easy to read, short straight to the point text, and easy to consult. I read the pdf version, but the hardcover has a compass on it and apparently it really works. A good one!
Up and down in this one. The up first. I like that this is a horror series made not only, but more then less, for girls. There is not much horror series for kids this days, I said it many times, but there is even fewer for girls so this is good (on a personal point the girly style of it turn me off a little because I'm not the targeted public, so for me it was a minus, but overall I consider that a good thing...). I also like the vocabulary «sessions» place in it, it seem a bit forced but not that much, it goes with the story and it just happen and then the story goes on but kid would have learn a new word. There also a couple of activities at the end who are not a big up, but it's better then nothing. The negative part now. Too girly for me. The horror part is kind of very soft all the way through expect the ending who caught me off guard (that is good), but it wasn't enough terrifying has I was hoping. The «Oh it was just a dream!» is a big cliché in itself, but when you put it three time in a 130 pages books, it's just laziness from the author!
So... big review for a short book. I won,t read any more book of this series, because it wasn't that good for me. But I can say that for young girls, but boys could also like it (even if they won,t see themselves much in the characters), around 10 years old or something like that, it could be a good way to introduce them to the horror genre. So a good book, but not my taste!

I don't know anything about countertop gardens so if you do you may not have the same opinion. But for newcomers like my this is a good enough starting point. It cover the basic of gardening, explain it well and just show how easy it can be to do all that in small interior space.
Just not deep enough for my taste. I like those ids books to have some kind of moral or message in it, and this one... just doesn't have any important meaning in it. Too simple!
