Really a great book that explain in a simple way what a social anxiety can be, how it appears and how you keep make it stronger by choosing what you choose. Easy way to talk about a difficult subject with the young ones!! Well done!
Simple, but good enough book for kid, that is more or less an introduction to meditation, with a bee for main character. Like I said a bit too simple, but it keep track and achieved is purpose so it still work!
Cleo and Cornelius: A Tale of Two Cities and Two Kitties
Elizabeth Nicholson, Nick Geller, Janine Pibal
2,5/5. Two cats thats goes on an adventure from Egypt to Rome. It try to past historical facts/information, but it's not that well done and the story in itself is not really interesting either, so... not a complete fail but not a book I would recommend.
2,5/5. It seem to have two kinds of reader for this book. The first one are those who think this is a masterpiece and that are in for it. And there is a secong group, which I'm part of, who don't really understand the hype about the book. I see that the author can write, the writing style is good and I agreed with that book being a inspiration for all the books/movies about haunted house that will follow. Let's not forget that this book was written in 1959 (if I remeber correctly). That being said, this book have two major flaws. First one the character who were not interesting to me in anyway and I think that to be scare for someone, like horror genre it supposed to make you feel, you need to care for them first, which was not the case here. Last point, it's wayyyyyyy too slow. Basically nothing happen for more then half the book, and even when it start, there's not much happening. I was expecting way more. So even if this may be a brick at the base of the wall of the horror genre, it's didn't catch my interest in our modern days. I would have love to love it... but I didn't.
Just can't stand this series anymore... I'm gonna hold on until this mini-series ends and see what comes next, but if it's not getting better I'm gonna quit, because there's no point reading this anymore!
Pointless. Going nowhere. The ending of the last issues is just leading to nothing. Even the action is not well done. Really a bad one!
No story really, just a young girl who love to eat watermelon... Like of consistence for my taste!
4,5/5. This started like one of the best Stephen king's book I've read in a long time and it keep you at the edge of your seat for all your reading time. A fast-paced thriller, that have little reference to thee Mr Mercedes trilogy, which I haven't read yet so I got a bit spoiled, but my fault I guest... Anyway, a very good thriller, a good social reflexion/criticism as well, an interesting portrait of modern America and a touch of supernatural, that surprisingly was not the best part of the book. I find this part, and the conclusion to, a bit déjà-vu by King and by other author as well. I don't want to said too much, don't want to spoiled anything, but I could easily think of three book, two by King, who have a similar conclusion/confrontation, so that make it loose some points. But it's still a very good book, that I read three days even if it's kind of a big one, so I definitely recommended it for the Stephen King's fans!
One last thing, I don't know if it's just me, but I find that some reference to some popular objects/trademark where a bit force sometimes in the story. Was it to make it closer to our world where those objects are everywhere? Or was it kind of a marketing thing, where the author may take money to placed those products in his book (like we saw so often in the movies those years)? A question and a reflexion. Don't hesitate if you know something about it, or just wanted to think about it out loud!
