The story in itself is not that good, but I like the time-traveler twist in the end of it and it kind of save it all, because that twist make it worth!

Good introduction to the elements and basics of chemistry. This book contains basics information, history/discovery facts, experiments that easy enough to try at home or at school. A book that does its work and, while still being simple enough, propose a more than decent introduction to the basics of chemistry!

Wow! J'avais énormément d'attentes après le premier tome de la série (qui fut mon livre préféré de 2017, rien de moins) et je n'ai pas été déçu. Peut-être légèrement moins prenant que le premier, on sent un peu le deuxième tome d'une trilogie, rarement le meilleur tome, mais les personnages sont toujours aussi forts et attachantes, on en découvre des nouveaux ou des anciens, mais d'un autre point de vue. L'univers est incroyable, vraiment unique et très intéressante et lMécriture fait bien le travail, au-delà de la moyenne pour un livre de science-fiction. J'aime également la réflexion sociale et écologique en fond, elle ne devient pas envahissante, mais est suffisamment présente pour apporter de belles idées et une réflexion enrichissante. Un coup de coeur encore une fois et je ne vois pas comment je vais pouvoir encore un an, sans doute, avant l'arrivée du troisième et dernier tome en français.

2,5/5. Ce roman démarre terriblement fort, autant par la beauté de l'écriture que par la situation décrite. Malheuresement, j'ai rapidement perdu de l'intérêt. De nombreux personnages, une série de sujet traîtés à travers eux, qui ne sont pas toujours intéressants et au final trop nombreux et pas assez approfondis. L'écriture tient la route, mais passe de magnifique a simplement belle, donc on perd des plumes aussi de ce côté, la traduction me paraît tout de même assez efficace et cela faut la peine d'être mentionné. Finalement, je crois que c'est le mélange de trop de choses, trop d epersonnages, trop de sujets, trop d'enjeux (personnels, sociaux, politiques, etc). On roman peut-être trop ambitieux pour son propre bien. Il aurait fallu en enlever un peu, ou simplement élaboré un peu plus chacun des thèmes et doubler, si ce n'est tripler, la longueur de ce roman.

Even if this book seem to have everything to please me, I just never really been grip by it, maybe the story was a bit too slow for me, but I fine it a bit flat. Even if the illustration are beautiful, even if the universe look interesting, it lack of the little thing, the little spark, the would have let it become something more.

2,5/5. This is a very weird graphic novel! It came with what was supposed to be a soundtrack that we could download on a site, but the site doesn't work... so too bad for the soundtrack, it's unfortunate because I really think that was a good idea. The story in itself is between a drama and a very dark taste of humor, all of it with a music hall atmosphere from time to time. I said it was weird... Even if a laugh at some points, the overall graphic novel, is just too weird and not really going nowhere. An original piece of work, but lack of substance to be good!

A metaphorical book about managing your life and balance it all. Not so sure about a children targeted public here. The idea of it wasn't bad, but just thoughts throw out and really basic explanation of it all, so the children won't get most of it, and not enough substance to be meaningful to adult. Not a bad idea and good message in it, but way too simple to make a good book!

Still good the second time. Having watches the series (two times) in between, I see it in a different perspective, notice the difference and all that. Maybe a bit more analytic reading, but some part still got me really emotional! Amazing!

Big awesome surprise!! I went there with no expectation at all, and discover a series that I'll read really fast, #2 and #3 are on their way right now. This is considered a pre-teens books, like between 10-14 years old, but I think that there is a lot of adult fantasy fan that would enjoy it! It takes the best elements of Lord of the Rings, and many fantasy as well (dwarf, elves, humans and orcs) mixed it with what make me thing of Harry Potter (a witchcraft school) and then put some demon/magic creatures friends (kind of Pokemon likes mostly but cooler!) and you have a tremendous result. It could have gone horribly wrong mixing stuff like that, but the author did it in a really good way, everything falls into place perfectly, the characters are very likeables, there is action, magic, friendship and of course a big wars that'll change the world. A very epic book and series (I hope), that the fantasy fan should really go all in and have a look. Highly recommended!!!

Not helping you to live a good and full life. It's more of a guy you think that what it did is so good and that his life will inspire other. Not much place for humility here. Yeah the guy seem to have travel a lot and live and interesting life, for him at least, but does that make a good book... no. Does that make me want to know everything about him... no. Pointless!
