I can definitely understand why this book is not for everyone, but it was exactly right for me. I wish it had been around when I was in HS, but I'm p sure the author hadn't even been born yet. Also, goddamn that cover is gorgeous.
I really enjoyed Mirka Andolfo's art, but the story kind of let the art down. If there were more, I'd read it bc I know this is just set-up, but since there isn't it just kind of left me feeling meh about it as a whole.
This was sweet, but I feel like I was promised more bureaucracy than was actually delivered.
I am not sure how to rate this. The story was great, and not entirely what I was expecting, but the prose kind of turned me off. It read as very juvenile, which I understand is bc Rose's development has been arrested in multiple ways, but it didn't entirely work for me.
Not unhappy I read it, tho.

I just really wasn't into Aislinn's voice, and the thought of 400 more pages reading it made me want to rip my hair out preemptively.
Sometimes I really liked this, and others I really didn't. Found myself wondering what the point of it all was quite a bit. Well written and compelling, but just kind of 🤷
It's so rare to see autistic representation that actually feels like me, that I don't even have words to talk about how this book made me feel. A little more romance-y than I usually like to read, but the autistic time travel made up for it.
Woof. Parts of this were so difficult to read, but as a whole it was SO worth it.
