With this issue, we start the Deadpool: Agent of Weapon X series. In the beginning, we get a status report saying that their project with Wolverine is going well and that the phase one of the project overall has been a success. Then we get a quick look at the people that the project has worked with so far and the missions they carried out. However, they are concerned with one...Deadpool. Meanwhile, Deadpool is on a stakeout and Sabertooth shows up to talk. Sabertooth tells Deadpool that Project X is back in action and that Deadpool needs to return with him. When Deadpool says no, Sabertooth shows him the upgrades Project X has given him. Eventually, Sabertooth gets Deadpool to the lab where he's injected with a serum that the lab doctors say will boost his regen-powers. To demonstrate, they then use an axe to chop off Deadpool's arm. It immediately begins to grow back and the lab guy says that it grows back stronger than before. With the serum, Deadpool's skin has also been healed. The catch...these effects only last one hour. He will have to return for more treatments. After thinking it over for an hour, Deadpool returns for treatment.
