Deadpool (1997-2002) #58 by Barry Windsor-Smith, Georges Jeanty, Frank Tieri
4.0

In this issue, Deadpool and Kane head off with a troop of men to investigate a situation in Iowa. The men don't last long, but Deadpool and Kane head into the city to investigate. They soon find a person that is a large flame. While Kane tries to attack it, the flame keeps saying its not his fault and that he can't control it. Deadpool tries making "your mama" jokes to get the flame guy to calm down and it works! As it turns out, the flame guy is just a kid. Before Deadpool can get the kid's name, Kane shoots the kid. Deadpool does not approve, and he and Kane get into a short fight. When Deadpool gets back to the headquarters, he demands to see the director. However, the director tries to give him his next mission: to kill Vanessa.

Favorite lines:
"Maybe we should leave him behind. The dude's like "Scooby and Shaggy"-level scared!"-Deadpool

After Kane suggests splitting up, Deadpool: "Oh, no you don't! Ive seen this movie before-- the funny guy always gets it! Right after the crippled guy, the black guy, and the teenagers having sex."
