Favorite lines:

"Titmouse. That cracks me up."-Deadpool

"Now, stay out of this so I can square off for the match-up that might actually increase my sales!"-Deadpool

"What do you recommend we do with him?"-Captain America, talking about Deadpool
"Duct tape. Lots and lots of duct tape. At least one roll for his mouth alone."-Cable

"Mr. President...I have to pee."-Deadpool

Oh my gosh... I started writing down all my favorite lines (like I do with the comics)...but I quickly realized that there were going to be far too many! I was laughing out loud on almost every page! Stefan absolutely nailed Deadpool's character. I loved that we got a full-length story that was narrated by Deadpool and a few of his other personalities.

For any Deadpool fan, this is a must read.

This book was a huge miss for me.

I didn't like any of the characters, the humor made me cringe, and the storyline seemed forced and bits and pieces seemed to come out of nowhere.

I absolutely could not stand all the random violent hatred for the book sentences that seemed to appear at least once per chapter- "...if you read it enough times, you will probably end up committing a homicide." "If after reading this book you come to my home and brutally murder me, I truly do not blame you." "That last paragraph is so stupid that I couldn't even bring myself to delete it." "By the way, for every mind numbing thing that you have read in this book..." "Thank Christ this book is over." "Also, I can probably just write whatever on this page, because there's no way you made it all the way to the end, because this book is a disgrace to the English language."

I couldn't stand all the "...we were going to kill ourselves." "...wanted to slit our wrists." We get it, you're an angsty teen. Stop.

And don't even get me started on the blame game the main character was constantly playing. Everything about his life was his mom's fault...his teachers fault...his classmates fault...Earl's fault...Madison's fault...etc. etc.

Page 262 of 295- "Maybe you should think about switching to a different book." ...... -.-

The ONE part that made me crack a quick half-smile was:
"It's so nasty. Son, it's so nasty."-Earl
"Then why are you finishing it?"-Greg
"Takin a bullet."-Earl

But hey, at least I was patient and waited to get this from my local library rather than buying it at Target when I saw it on sale...I would have been extremely upset if I spent any money on it.

I would not recommend this to anyone.

I enjoyed this book a lot! Some of the dialogue was a little lame, though, in my opinion. I also had two chapters in a row that were the same text, just different chapter headers. So I'm wondering if that was an editing error or if I'm actually missing a chapter...

This book was a total miss for me.

First of all, I thought that it was super weird that the main character is writing letters to a stranger. I mean, if I started getting a bunch of letters from a kid I didn't know, I would be extremely weirded out.

Second, I was very annoyed because clearly the main character has a lot of issues, and I wanted them to be figured out before anything bad happened.

However, it was very easy to read. And I love this quote, because I have been saying something very similar to this for years: "I think that on my next birthday, I'm going to buy her a present. I think that should be the tradition. The kid gets gifts from everybody, and he buys one present for his mom since she was there, too. I think that would be nice."

I liked this one a lot more than the first. However, I felt like it dragged on. I kept waiting for things to get crazy, and with the book coming to an end I got really antsy. Then finally the last few pages were incredible!

Another re-read. This one is definitely one of my favorites in the series!

Another reread! And my goodness. The craziness in the one is amazing.

My favorite lines:

"After all, a cheerful attitude is the most effective tool against sickness."
"I thought antibiotics were," Klaus said.
"Echinacea!" Sunny said. She meant "Or well-tested herbal remedies...

I was SO excited when this finally appeared in my mailbox! And Mr. Palahniuk certainly did not disappoint. First of all, this graphic novel is beautiful- not only are the comics themselves fantastic, there are also watercolors that mark each chapter that are absolutely incredible! Over the mix of drawings and watercolors, there are also splashes of other items (pills, rose petals, etc.) and words like "blam," "pow," "bark" that float on top of the comic. I thought this was incredibly clever because it made the dialogue seem more "real" with all of the interruptive action and background noise.

The storyline picks up ten years after the start of Project Mayhem. To avoid giving anything away... I will just say that I loved 1) the appearance of a few of the characters from the first book/movie, 2) how elements (ex. support groups) from the first book/movie carried over into this one, and 3) that the author himself came into the storyline.

I cannot wait to see the next book!
