The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
2.0

This book was a total miss for me.

First of all, I thought that it was super weird that the main character is writing letters to a stranger. I mean, if I started getting a bunch of letters from a kid I didn't know, I would be extremely weirded out.

Second, I was very annoyed because clearly the main character has a lot of issues, and I wanted them to be figured out before anything bad happened.

However, it was very easy to read. And I love this quote, because I have been saying something very similar to this for years: "I think that on my next birthday, I'm going to buy her a present. I think that should be the tradition. The kid gets gifts from everybody, and he buys one present for his mom since she was there, too. I think that would be nice."
