I'm not mentally well enough to finish this book rn. It's just too emotionally challenging. I just need some light and fluffy things in life rn. Especially if it's something nearly 500pgs

I'm just not enjoying the writing style unfortunately.

I'm going to read this as either an ebook or audio book instead because this hardback is hurting my hands

The Odyssey

The person writing about the history of the Odyssey in this sounds like the main character in war of the worlds. Elitest and boring.

This book was just not for me, but I did try. I struggle with any form of media with dead parents. And there's just too many dead parents (violent y murdered or otherwise) in this book.

I just don't think contemporary romances are my thing.

I'm sad to have to put this book down.

However, these poems are hitting way to hard for my grieving and mentally ill ass to give them the time they deserve. I am absolutely picking this back up when I'm doing better.

I also have it out as an ILL and I literally don't have enough time to sit with it the way I'd need/ want to. I'd like to own the book so I can take all the time I need to read it.

The writing is phenomenal and hard hitting. The author has included footnotes for every reference. And there's notes on the back to further explain everything.

This book deserves time. Time to be read and time to further your own research into the history mentioned.

This book has so far been amazing. I love the writing and the setting is eerie.

But, I'm not in the headspace I need to be in order to safely enjoy this book.

I want to revisit it when I'm feeling mentally better.

I want to revisit this book when I'm in a better headspace and there isn't a massive wave of hate for the trans community. The story's premise is so interesting.

I just can't handle the main character's unsupported family right now. I'm not sure I like the trope of transgender person having to prove themselves to shitty people.
