So first, now that I've finished my third audiobook in VO, I can say with certainty that I love it. It's amazing how many things you can achieve by listening to a book!
Secondly, I loved this book and the whole experience presented with it. The fact that the story is presented with an album, and that the songs written in this book were all played and performed so beautifully, is pretty amazing.
Third, the story is pure CoHo. You love to hate the characters, and you hate to love some of them, and some of the situations are horrible and unfortunate, but those poor people can't change that, because that's what life is. And that's the power of this author, to dive us into a world where the characters are neither innocent nor demonic, just human.

Alors premièrement, maintenant que j'ai fini mon troisième audiobook en VO, je peux dire avec certitude que j'adore ça. C'est fou le nombre de choses qu'on peut réaliser en écoutant un livre!
Deuxièmement, j'ai adoré ce livre et toute l'expérience proposée à travers lui. Le fait que l'histoire soit proposée avec un album, et que les chansons écrites dans ce livre aient toutes été jouées et interprétées si joliment, c'est assez incroyable.
Troisièmement, l'histoire est du CoHo tout craché. On aime détester les personnages, et on déteste en aimer certains, et certaines situations sont horribles et malheureuses, mais les pauvres ne peuvent rien y changer, parce que c'est ça, la vie. Et c'est ça le pouvoir de cette auteure, c'est de plonger dans un monde où les personnages ne sont ni innocents, ni démoniaques, just humains.

There are only three reasons that can explain why I didn't like this book.
1/it was stupid
2/I have to stop reading French translations of English books because the translations make the book stupid
3/both answers 1 and 2
I didn't get attached to the characters whom I found flat, superficial, insignificant. The plot did not interest me. The writing made me roll my eyes so hard that I thought they were going to stay stuck in my eye sockets forever.
Two stars anyway, for three reasons too:
1/ I am an author and I can't bring myself not to applause the effort
2/I am sure that if I had read it in its original language, I would have liked it better
3/because I'm very fucking nice

1/il était stupide
2/il faut que j’arrête de lire des traductions françaises de livres en anglais parce que les traductions rendent le livre stupide
3/la réponse de 1 et 2 en même temps
Je ne me suis pas attachée aux personnages, plats, superficiels, insignifiants. L’intrigue ne m’a pas intéressée. L’écriture m’a fait lever les yeux au ciel tellement fort que j’ai cru qu’ils allaient rester bloqués en haut de mes orbites éternellement.
Deux étoiles quand même, pour trois raisons également :
1/je suis auteure et je ne peux me résoudre à ne pas féliciter l’effort
2/je suis persuadée que si je l’avais lu dans sa langue originale, j’aurais mieux aimé
3/parce que je suis gentille

Surprisingly, Hot Italian girl, obsessed with makeup and fashion, future yoga teacher who enjoys crystals and tarot and could have any man she wants but have big confidence issue and is so fragile on the inside because her boyfriend kissed another girl when she was 15 years old, didn’t do it for me. I loathed her from beginning to end. She makes the wrong choices every damn time and her friends and family are all TOXIC AS HELL and the male character is just BLAND AS FUCK and I was so bored I actually skimmed over the pages at some point.
One star for the effort and one more for the spicy scenes and because Arzum loved this book and I love her.

Étonnamment, la fille italienne sexy, obsédée par le maquillage et la mode, future professeur de yoga qui aime les cristaux et le tarot et qui pourrait avoir tous les hommes qu'elle veut mais qui a un gros problème de confiance et qui est si fragile à l'intérieur parce que son petit ami a embrassé une autre fille quand elle avait 15 ans, ne m'a pas plu.
Je l'ai détestée du début à la fin. Elle fait les mauvais choix à chaque fois et ses amis et sa famille sont tous TOXIQUES et le personnage masculin est juste FADE et je m'ennuyais tellement que j'ai même survolé les pages à un moment donné.
Une étoile pour l'effort et une autre pour les scènes spicy et parce qu'Arzum a aimé ce livre et que je l'aime, elle.
