Loved It!
From the very first page I was sucked in and I didn’t want to get out. As with all the novel-in-verse books I’ve read so far, they’re so deeply moving, heartbreaking, gritty and raw, and this masterpiece was all the above and more. I’m definitely going to read more from Jason Reynolds

This was a painful read. Slow, repetitive, too much description and not enough dialogue, utterly ridiculous and boring. And what was the deal with so many words or sentences in closed brackets?!?!! It didn’t even need to be 500 pages long either. The repetitiveness could’ve - no, SHOULD have been - cut down by half. I had such high hopes for this being an incredible read but it severely let me down. Such a shame.
