Absolutely stunning read! One of the best stand-alone books I've read in a long time!

This is absolutely necessary to read if you’re a white British person. This book is extremely educational, to the point and very powerful and emotional.

The writing is superbly poetic, simply amazing! It’s an eclectic collection of prose, poetry, and screenplay that dives right into the subject of death (and life) with exquisitely brutal honesty. I loved everything about this book and it’s definitely one of my favourite reads of 2021. Godden has done a brilliant job with her debut novel, and tackled the sensitive subjects with harsh yet beautiful prose.
