Too short. And the ending felt rushed. There were hardly any explanations as to what the journals meant that the character needed to read, so that was a disappointment. Plus, it turned into a romantic story - nah. Not for me thanks. I wanted more ghosts not lovestruck girl.
I read on Amazon that if you’re fans of Neil Gaiman (which I am!) then to read this book. But it’s not a patch on Gaiman. Nowhere near.
It’s a quick read but I struggled towards the end purely because it turned soppy and sloppy.

Shite

LOVED this book! And the illustrations were an added bonus. Definitely a keeper on my bookshelf.

This book took me longer to read than normal. And it's not because I was bored of it or couldn't get through it. I was just sooooo busy! Work, work and socialising (ugh) and even more work! Stupid adult life! Anyway, I adored this novel, and it's certainly one that I will read again and again. To me it was magical, magnetising and wonderful! It was a book that I truly lost myself in, and one that I felt I was actually there within the Night Circus. All characters were intriguing, lovely and mystifying. Morgenstern truly had a beautiful way with words

Meh. Not for me. I don’t like - or get the obsession with - the writing styles of ‘classic’ books. Give me Young Adult any time of the day!

Nah!
