I quite enjoyed reading this unusual book. Even though it was an original read, (for me personally) I just felt that it was a bit repetitive at times. However, it was plotted out greatly and I was sad for the animals from the beginning to end, especially Boxer! Also, my dislike for pigs has increased after reading this ;) lol

Can't remember when I read as it was years ago, at a time when all I did was read these types of books lol

A must read! I loved this book from the very moment I started it. Cronin is a superb writer, and it's the first book I've read that has made me well up with tears. It's made me angry, shocked, sad, ecstatic, relieved and piteous. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, and I often found myself holding my breath. I can't wait to start reading the second install enemy later tonight :)

Tim Burton is a genius! I freaking loved this book!
It's an easy 115 pages long, and the stories are more like little poems or tiny short stories accompanied with awesome, grungy 'Tim Burton-y' style illustrations. More reasons to love the book! The stories themselves are pure Burton; creepy, dark, weird, awesome! If you're a fan of his fantastic work, then this is the book you NEED!
But when I found this book on Waterstones website, and once I had discovered that it's a very short book, I wasn't overly keen on paying the full price for it. (£9.99) so I scooted over to Amazon and managed to pick it up for £2.81. Bargain! But after reading it, I'd have been more than happy to pay £9.99 as I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll probably (most definitely) read it again tonight in bed (is it bedtime yet? No? Damn it.)
It's also the one book this year that has actually made me laugh out loud. I LOLed.

Normally I laugh in my head or give out a nose laughter whenever I read something humorous in a book. But this one has pure dry, dark humour, which is right up my street. And I lllllloved it!
Like I said above, he's a genius, and now I'm going to search Amazon for any other books he may have written, and I'll happily pay full prices for them.

Since I'm anti-kid, I'm surprised I even downloaded this free book, but it was free, and something quick to read (as I had forgot my book) while being bored at work. Ssssh, don't tell the boss. Some anecdotes were meh. Like, honey, this story is shit and not even funny. It's basic, you basic human. Then some were hilarious and I had to turn my head away from my boss to shield my strained laughter. Strangely, it was those that involved swear words that were the most funniest. Especially the kid that said blackc*nt. Oops!
