No surprise, but your girl loves a shifter book. And the type of shifters in this story? Perfection. I won't spoil it, but honestly some of my favorite side characters. 💖 This is my first L.B. Benson book, and when I finished, my first thought was "Well shit. Now I have to wait for book 2? Ugh." 🙄🥰 The story was fun, sexy, and excellently teed up what I expect to be a just-as-fun second book in the Wolves of Woodbine Hollow world. 😍

I am going to admit that when I picked up this story from Netgalley, I had no idea that it was in the same world as the Hollow Vows duet (which I really enjoyed!). I was 15% in, thinking, why does this seem so familiar, before I realized it was going to focus on Abriella's younger sister as a follow up to the original story (plus a handful of side characters, old and new). And it was so fun! Court intrigue, shifters, fae shenanigans, and an epic finish that made me say, "Oh f*ck!" out loud, which scared my dog. 😬 I am genuinely excited for the next book already! 🤣🥰
