The pacing was glacial.

I couldn't connect with the characters. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The overuse of the word "slick" was problematic and not sexy. Expecting 21 year olds to be sex gods is also a step too far for me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Seemed like an entirely new story, and I did not get the religious allegories.

The book starts with an entire dictionary. 

It read like it was written by a high school student who was writing a revenge fantasy. 

So dull.
