I'm not gonna lie: I had NO clue how Tessa was gonna land this plane. I was STUH-ressed the eff out. And then she did it. 94% of the book, I was chewing my cuticles because I didn't know how it was gonna work out. But then it did. 😍 Gah, TB always delivers. And this was a story where the FMC was a bit of a dirty talker - not mad about that! Solid addition to the oeuvre 😅!

This. This is what I want in a romance. Longing. Learning. Good sex.💥 Romantic sex. Humor. Family, found and otherwise. And just really, really good storytelling. This book made my heart full. ❤️ 

I *rarely* rate a book on here if it's not an ARC, but I was moved to do so for this book because wow! The action, the pacing, the steam, the danger, the grief, the longing...all of it was really artfully done. This is my second book by Moronova, but it is certainly not my last. So. Good. I ate this up in a day. 🤩

Any time I get an ARC on a debut author, I'm not sure what I'm going to get. In this case, I got an imaginative King Arthur corollary. Parker took the bones of Arthurian legend and reframed them into a contemporary version of the mythology. And I have to say, it really worked for me! The intrigue, the romance, the questions, the heat ... I am definitely down for the rest of the series so I can figure out why Landon made that choice at the end. 👀 This was such a pleasant surprise, and I'm looking forward to The Viper's Lady that releases in May 2025. 🥳

I often find historicals hard to stomach because they take place in a time when women were considered property. However, Vasti has somehow figured out the alchemy that makes a historical "feel" more like a contemporary. I have no idea HOW she does it, I'm just thrilled that she DOES. 😊

Arthur has, over time, closed off his heart and emotions to try to avoid getting hurt. Lydia deals with extreme social anxiety, but is determined to change the course of her life. When those 2 knuckleheads meet, they are drawn to one another in a way neither expect. 

The story was fun, swoony, and spicy, and I can't wait to read what comes next!🥳
