Holy cliffhanger, batman!

What I liked:
- I couldn't stop reading; I needed to know what happened next.
- The characters were well drawn; I always knew who was saying/doing something.
- I liked the development of Tori's relationships with each character.

What was not so great (imo):
- This was a bully romance that turned into a gang romance? I like both of those, but it felt abrupt somehow. 
- I wondered how a book, at less than 300 pages, was going to develop and be completed. Answer: cliffhanger, that's how. 😅

I'll be reading the next book because I need to know what happened. 😊

Did I sob multiple times? Yes. 
Was I enthralled by the story and the characters? Also yes. 
Was I horny? Well duh. 🤣

An internet friend of mine (@heathers.happy.endings on IG) let me know it was going to be released (she is also in the acknowledgments, so immortalized in the best way!) and suggested I apply for an ARC, which I did because I trust her. This truly was an epic start to a GREAT series, and I'm eager to see where it goes.

I already messaged Rachel to ask when I could get a signed shelf trophy, cuz it's gonna be worth money in the not too distant future. 

Go read it. As soon as you can. 😊 (It releases on 7 Jan, which is auspicious, as it's my daughter's birthday!🥰)

I started reading these books as part of a buddy read, and then stuck with them because they were engaging, well written, and sexy. I would put this trilogy up against any other romantic fantasy series out there for most interesting twists, gasp-worthy moments, and best use of shadow daddy powers 😏. I cried at least 5 times, and I adored how (even in such a fantastical setting) relatable the characters seemed: the desire to live a life they chose, the pain that comes with loss, the bittersweet feeling of having loved those no longer with us, and the joy of finding a family. This is going to be a series I revisit. Stunning. 🥰
