This was adorableπ₯°. I love a feisty FMC, and Lottie fit the bill perfectly. I also enjoyed how Guy just couldn't cope with how smart and blunt she was, so he had no choice in how he felt. With historicals, I think it's a tough needle to thread to deal with the mores of the time period, and still try to make it "feel" current. Heath did a great job and this was a good time.π

I appreciated what the author was trying to do, but it read more like a self-help/self-actualization book than a contemporary romance. This ended up being a very "tell", not "show" story, which made it hard for me to empathize with the FMC. Also, the romance felt very ... forced? There was no real tension (imo), so I ultimately didn't really care about MCs. Solid effort, but not for me.

Worth every page. When I saw how long the book was, I had some concerns simply because I thought maybe it would be "rambly". Turns out, nothing to worry about. π€·πΌββοΈ Every twist was important, and the way this trilogy ended is the way all good series should be wrapped up. And the scenes that we have all been waiting for?π₯π Delivered on every level. If this was the debut series, I can't wait to see what Quinn has in store for the future. Well done, darling girl.π

Holy moly. π€― Talk about an author who has GROWN since the first book. Honestly, this book gave me the same feelings I had when I read Kingdom of Ash. Anxiety, laughter, heartbreak, and joy. This is the way a trilogy (or any book series) should end; providing the reader with the full gamut of emotions. It was a gift to be able to read these words and "live" with these characters, and I am so grateful that Aimee Vance went through what she did to get her here, because this was a story that I didn't know I needed. Bravo.π₯°π
