A great book. I have read the comic version from the Illustrated Classics earlier, but reading the original book feels more complete somehow. It was a short book, too and that made it so much easier. The journey of Buck from being a sheltered and pampered house dog to a wild, killer leader of the wolf pack is both sad and empowering at the same time. The author manages to turn a tale of true tragedy and suffering into one of endurance and survival. Highly recommend!

I liked this book very much indeed. The story was short and sweet and very well paced. But. I definitely do not like steamy scenes in my books - purely a personal preference. Of course, maybe I should not have picked up a book that advertises a reverse harem. My fault, I know. But I’m still glad I read this book. It was a quick, easy read and if it weren’t for the above mentioned scenes, it would have been a 5-star read, too.

Yikes! I feel physically disoriented. A mistake to have even started reading this book. I am NOT a fan of these high-brow, illogical books that are a pain to read and understand. Some parts were relatively all right, but that’s far too few and far between. I must remember to read reviews and check for unhinged writing alerts. Glad I didn’t buy this book. The last time I read and hated a book so much was with A Hundred Years of Solitude. Readers who enjoyed that kind of “dream-like half-crazed” books might enjoy this one too.

It was a great book; I liked the story very much. The characters were interesting and the suspense was excellent too. Her writing is great too. I’m surprised and upset that I’ve never read Mary Higgins Clark before. I’ll probably try to read more of her works soon.

A true thriller - a book I’ve read ages ago and loved. In spite of the gory nature of some of the scene descriptions, the story is a good one. Dan Brown magically weaves together symbolism, bible verses, church conspiracies, the Vatican City and raw human fallacies in this un-put-down-able book.

A wonderful wonderful beautiful book. There is so so much to read in every page, and everything’s so beautifully illustrated. There’s quite a bit of new information, that I believe I’ve read in the From the Wizarding Archive series. A great keepsake for all lovers of the Potter-verse.

I do like the story very much. The new twist in the tale - a much more interesting mml - is much nicer. I also love that the mfl has now come into her power very much. And yet, I hate that the author feels the need to insert one unnecessary chapter describing in cringe-worthy detail their bedroom scenes. That entire chapter could’ve been done away with so easily; it wouldn’t have affected the story in any way. IMHO, the plot is good, the characters are good, but that one chapter takes away the charm quite a bit.

The books that 5 year old me used to “read” and love. I know all these stories by heart and the drawings are etched in my mind forever. Love Phantom and his wild, wild world.

I had read this book nearly two decades back and had almost forgotten about this book. Of course, some of the basic concepts of this book have stayed with me forever. It is one of my foundation texts for finance planning. The details and number crunching can be a bit dry, but it is nonetheless important to be informed. An OG book in getting the right mindset about your finances - Pick and choose, though, as the author himself warns.

Wow! The ending was superb! There were quite a few surprises in the last chapters but the ending was chef’s kiss! Really liked this book. Definitely reading the rest of the series. I read this book as part of The52BookClub readalong - might not have thought of picking this book otherwise. A great read! Highly recommend.
