Another fun book. An even more  complicated plot than usual. I totally loved the body-switching idea. Laughed my way through this book, too. Wodehouse books are always a scream.

This book is progressing very slowly for me and it has put me into a serious reading slump. Instead of DNF-ing the book, I decided to flip through the pages quickly, checking the titles, sub-titles and random passages that interested me. It is clear that there is a lot of information, techniques and ideas jam-packed in there. The writing style, perhaps, is not for me, though. As other readers have mentioned, there is too much “padding” and I fully agree. A condensed version of this book might have been more palatable.

A truly fun book. There are cats around, but do not play any active role in the sleuthing business. Our mfl is a witch in trouble and she manages to cast enough spells and brew enough potions to bring the criminal to justice. An easy read, a fun read, a cozy book indeed.

A great sequel to The Immortals of Meluha and ending with an equally perplexing cliffhanger. Many questions left unanswered in the first book are well explained here, but now there are new mysteries and new questions to be answered. On to the next book 😃

It is definitely a gripping story, but sad in many ways. Domestic violence is so soul-killing; even today, with all the help available, it still goes on. In the old days, it is inconceivable how much more terrible these lives would’ve been. A very sad and sorry tale.

A long book, but a very gripping one. It is a strange land governed by strange rules and practices and strange powers. It is complicated, yet interesting. There is a lot of politics, which I usually detest, but not so much in this case. A great book overall, I will definitely continue reading this series.

Professor McGonagall’s backstory is detailed and awesome. The story behind Remus’ turning into a werewolf is sad, and yet I enjoyed it, too. A wonderful collection that explains so much more than the original books.  This book was another great read from J K Rowling. And frankly, I want some more 😀

This book sure cured me out of a reading slump I’d been in for a while. Each chapter is a short article on one specific Harry Potter incident/character/topic that is explored more thoroughly with additional back stories. I loved it, and I’m glad I bought this book. Now, on to volume 2 of the series 😀

A very gripping story. Sara is a young teenager, whose experiences unusual changes and also finds her long lost family - so much to take in, for sure. Loved the quotes in this book; mostly, it is written in the form of a journal from Sara’s mother, but there were others as well. Wonderful tidbits on how to live better: every teenager ought to know these, I feel. I do feel invested enough to read the rest of the series.

The book lists 100 House Rules by The Nester. I read the entire book in one go and that was a little boring after a while. It is filled with a treasure trove of ideas but I feel that this is a book that could be read by opening to a random page and trying to implement that idea. A few ideas were completely novel, and I definitely enjoyed the author’s perspective on decorating.
