This book felt perfect after I realized how much of my job deals with poop - and I also have IBS so this intrigued me anyway.
The beginning deals entirely with “regular” bowel movements and when you should see a doctor, then we start debunking some common myths/misconceptions surrounding poo and other problems people experience in the bathroom and the different ways to fix them.
It was interesting considering I’ve lived my whole life with problems in the bathroom. If you’re curious about bathroom issues (your own or in general) I’d recommend this.

Like many others, The Exorcist was my intro to the horror genre. I found this book to provide some insights into the movie that I wouldn’t have picked up on myself, especially considering my age when I was exposed to it (hint - I was likely far too young). So with this movie being a nostalgic thing for me, I was thrilled to see this book as an option, and even more so when I got the audiobook through NetGalley.
It’s not long, but it is pretty jam packed with information. I found it to be fascinating, but I don’t think it’ll be everyone’s cup of tea. There is a decent amount of technical-type stuff along with the behind the scenes stuff which can easily get boring if that’s not your thing. I think the narrator did a fantastic job of keeping it interesting though, and that’s a big plus.

Well this was a wild ride. I’ve read many of this authors works and they’re always pretty wild but this one took the cake.
We follow a young mother who discovers that in the town she just moved to there is a list - and if your child is on that list, it means they’re going to die. The kids always die, and they always die in the order they appear on the list. This list comes every six months. Naturally, parents in the town freak when the list comes out. This young mother refuses to take this list lying down (even though her son is not on it) and although no one believes her, she’s determined to get to the bottom of it.
This ride was wild. Totally unrealistic, but freaking wild. I wasn’t looking for a realistic thriller - I was looking for gripping and I definitely got that. While I knew where this was going, I definitely enjoyed the ride. Totally worth the read.
