This was quite the suspenseful ride! I really enjoy the way that the story unraveled at a steady pace. The lies and drama that surround our main character are pretty crazy and the trip to the climax is great. Once I started, I didn’t stop and listened to this audiobook in one day.
I received the audio through NetGalley and I really enjoyed the narrator as well. I do wish that since we had POVs from both the mother and daughter that we would have gotten two narrators to go along with it, but that’s really my only audiobook complaint. I definitely prefer the POVs to have their own narrator.
As for the story, I did find it to be well paced and included plenty of drama and suspense to keep the readers attention. On top of that, it’s a different and interesting story and I wanted to know what happened next. I didn’t even try to predict anything - I found myself just wanting to enjoy the ride. I love that.

This author is one of my favorites! She never fails to deliver and thrilling and mysterious book without extra words that add nothing to the story! These books are always straight to the point and they’re the perfect length to binge as well!
This one follows a high school student that we learn suffers from traumatic memory loss and we follow her as she unravels her past and remembers not only what happened, but the part she played in it. It’s interesting, thrilling, suspenseful and mysterious and I really did enjoy it! Absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys shorter thrillers!

This just wasn’t for me. When it came down to it, while in theory this book is right up my alley, the execution of the story just wasn’t for me.
Now I get how people would enjoy it. It’s an interesting story covering a man living a double life and his wife catches him. She’s got her own secrets so it’s a twisty wild ride to the end. There’s just something about the execution that just didn’t do it for me. It’s not bad, but it’s not for me.
My kids absolutely love Minecraft and all of these unofficial stories that go along with it. We’ve read several together and when I got the opportunity to listen to this one through NetGalley, I jumped at the chance.
This is a short middle grade novel that follows a noob as he works his way through the Minecraft world. There’s just enough action to keep kids engaged without being over the top about it and causing confusion for young readers.
My kids really enjoyed it too! They were enthralled with the story and spent much of the book with smiles on their faces. It was great to listen to it with them.

This was such a different sort of story. The double takes I gave my phone while listening to the audio came frequently and it’s been quite awhile since that happened.
I received the audio through NetGalley and the narrator was a perfect fit in my opinion. Since this book centers around mothers and their young children, this narrator was absolute perfection.
The story itself had its moments. While there were plenty that I had to double take, there were also plenty of places that felt a bit monotonous and there were several parents that I just plain didn’t like. It felt realistic since that’s how parent groups are in real life too - there’s others you connect with while there are some you just don’t - and I appreciate that. They symbolism in this book could really mean many things from it just being a creepy story to a physical symbol of kids draining their parents (specifically their mothers). It works.
If you can handle blood and other creepy things, I’d give this book a try. It’s pretty solid.

I found myself picking this up quite awhile ago on my kindle and I forgot about it after my cat ate my kindle charger. Looking through the kindle app on my phone, I spotted it again and remembered that I was entranced in this story and wanted to get back to it. Once I jumped back in, I didn’t want to stop. It’s enthralling - such a different sort of thriller and I really enjoyed every second of it. I honestly can’t believe I forgot about it!

Joe Goldberg never fails to release some crazy into the world. His murder spree continues in this novel and I can’t complain - it’s interesting in the same way the other novels have been.
I received this from NetGalley and have just now gotten to it, which shocks me since it was one of my most anticipated reads for 2023! It got lost in the shuffle unfortunately and I’m happy to have continued it.
Watching Joe expand to being an author really brought even more depth into his character and I really enjoyed it. We get the throwbacks to other shenanigans (aka murders) Joe has found himself in previously and it’s really interesting watching him get out of the trouble he’s always in. Good thing he’s a smooth talker!
While this wasn’t my favorite installment by any means, it was good and I finished it in one day! I really enjoyed it.

This continuation of the Parisi Family story but with different main characters really expands this story into a direction that opens so many doors for this series!
Darius and Lily meet by chance, and he is absolutely mesmerized while she is understandably terrified in return. When shit hits the fan, Lily finds herself right in the middle of this mafia family and it’s a great story with many different angles. We get to learn about Lily, her upbringing, her daughter Iris and the deadbeat baby daddy drama; while also learning about the background of Diávolos and how he became an important member of the mafia family.
This book has twists and turns and ends with one hell of a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
