I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would.  There were a few moments that made me actually laugh out loud and I love the forced proximity trope in such a great setting.  My only complaint is that the side characters seem flat and stereotypical at times like they are just trying to fill a role, but I liked the main characters.

Unsurprisingly, I enjoyed another Emma Lord book. I love the character she creates and how they interact with each other. Fake dating is my favorite trope and I like how this one had the added factor of social media. I like that the conflict towards the end is surprising and not just because the characters are afraid of their feelings for each other.

I liked that the FMC is a sim engineer. Shantel's character is able to spotlight an important role in an F1 team that I don't think gets talked about enough.  

However, I think my biggest complaint is that Overdrive is supposed to be an F1 romance but there isn't even any F1 action until about a third of the way in and it's pre-season testing to start.  The book does pick up but by that point, you're already 40% through it.  I need more on-track action in my F1 romances.

All I needed was a comparison to You've Got Mail to want to read Worst in Show and it delivered!  This rom-com is both funny and sweet!  Just like You've Got Mail, I like how the two characters have an in-person relationship and an online relationship, especially when they learn who each other really is.  If you are a fan of romantic comedies and dogs, you will love Worst in Show!

Stealing Time is a mix between a heist story and Back to the Future.  Tori travels back to 1980 to stop a diamond theft that forever alters her family's history.  While I know I am not the intended audience for this book, at times the writing is very simplistic, especially the dialogue.  The book reads like an early young adult or middle grade novel, but then will also have a bunch of swearing in it at times.  Overall, despite the writing and references to covid, this was a fun read.

I really enjoyed Heather Walter's Malice duology so I was excited to read this witchy Snow White's Evil Queen retelling!  The Crimson Crown did not disappoint!  At this point, I will read anything Walter writes!

I feel like each book in the Larkspur Library Mysteries series just keeps getting better!  This mystery is well-paced and has enough new developments in the story to keep me interested.  I also loved the historical connection to it!
