Thank you PRH Audio and Libro FM for the ALC of Remember Us! All opinions in this review are my own.
I think every Jacqueline Woodson book I read is better than the last. Because this novel was written in verse, the language is intentional and lyrical despite a lot of the content being heartbreaking. Add in the fact that Woodson narrates the audiobook and it is no surprise that I loved this book as much as I did.
Thank you SMP Romance and NetGalley for the eARC of Built to Last. All opinions in this review are my own.
I read Built to Last by Erin Hahn and absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, I think it was a one time thing for this author because I DNFed her YA book Never Saw You Coming. I had high hopes for Friends Don't Fall in Love but from the start, I didn't like how school shootings were included in the book. I know they aren't explicitly described on the page, but it felt out of place to be in a romance book about country stars. I wanted a lighthearted read and this reminder took me out of it.

Thank you Celadon and NetGalley for the eARC of Locust Lane! All opinions in this review are my own.
Locust Lane takes place over a few days after a local woman is found murdered in the home she had been staying in. Locust Lane is supposed to be the most sought after road in town and it is shocking that something like this would happen on such a quiet street. The tension builds as more secrets are revealed and characters start contradicting each other's stories.
This multiple point of view thriller was so addicting! I ended up reading it in four large chunks because I couldn't put it down! I love thrillers when you are not quite sure who to trust and the shifting perspective helped to build the tension. I definitely want to check out more from this author!

Thank you Tandem and Vintage Books for the gifted copy of The Firm! All opinions in this review are my own!
From the opening pages of The Firm, it was clear that some of the language used didn't age well which put me off at first. I liked that the book provides more detail on The Firm's actions than the movie did so you got the sense of how sinster it is early on. However, I feel like the book took a long time to get to the action packed ending and could have been trimmed more once we realized how bad The Firm was. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to follow the end of the movie chase scene as well in the book, but the ending of the book is so much better! The ending of the book leaves a better opening for the sequel.

Thank you Kensington and NetGalley for the eARC of Board to Death! All opinions in this review are my own.
I initially wanted to read this cozy mystery because it was set in a board game shop, but I stayed because it has a cat named Grandpa.
This was such a fun start to the Board Game Shop Mystery series! It is a quick read with an unlikable victim who is involved in the board game collector market. I liked Ben's character arc as he becomes more comfortable in his hometown and his budding romance with Ezra. I can't wait for the next installment!

Thank you Forever and NetGalley for the eARC of Lunar Love! All opinions in this review are my own.
Olivia is trying to save her family's matchmaking business, Lunar Love, but when she meets Bennett, the owner of a new dating app based on the Zodiac, she doesn't know what to do. Olivia and Bennett make a bet that they can find the perfect match for each other. Whoever is able to make the other one fall in love first using their methods will receive the prize.
I loved this romance! From Olivia and Bennett to the wager, everything about this romance worked for me. I also liked how close Olivia was to her family and how it explored her balancing remaining faithful to traditions but also trying to modernize her business.
I can't wait to read more from Lauren Kung Jessen!

Thank you SMP Romance and NetGalley for the eARC of Mr. & Mrs. Witch! All opinions in this review are my own.
This book is nonstop from the first chapter! On their wedding day, Griffin learns that Savvy is a witch and she learns that he is a witch hunter. When both of their organizations order them to take the other one out, Savvy and Griffin must decide if their love is stronger than their organizations. Mr. & Mrs. Witch is a fast-paced read that is perfect for October!

Thank you Once Upon a Book Club for the gifted Those We Drown box! All opinions in this review are my own.
Being stuck on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean and knowing something is wrong is one of my worst nightmares. Despite this, Those We Drown was such an atmospheric thriller that immediately drew me in. It was easy to get caught up in Liv's frantic search for the truth and couldn't wait to find out what happens next!

Thank you, BiblioLifestyle and William Morrow for the gifted copy of A Beautiful Rival! All opinions in this review are my own.
Right from the start, the rivalry between Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubinstein can be described as toxic. Arden is threatened by Rubinstein bringing her business to the United States and will stop at nothing to deter her rival. Rubinstein then counters with schemes of her own to get her own footing in the American market. As the story progresses, the hardships that both women face unfold and it is admirable that two women were able to open successful international businesses during this time. They both must face the societal pressures of marriage and the role of women. Overall, the author wrote an engrossing novel about two women who have so much in common but are determined to be set so far apart.

Thank you BiblioLifestyle and William Morrow for the gifted copy of Murder in the Family! All opinions in this reivew are my own.
After seeing that this book was described as an escape room in book form, I couldn't wait to read it! While it is written in a unique format (primarily scripts, newspaper articles, and texts), I wouldn't say it is as easy to solve this along with the main characters as the description makes you believe.
That being said, I absolutely loved this thriller! There are so many twists and turns that made me excited about what would be revealed next! The story is framed within a true crime show and it was easy to picture what the show would look like as I was reading. I can't wait to read more by this author!
