Thank you William Morrow and NetGalley for the eARC of The Book of Doors!  All opinions in this review are my own.

I had a hard time writing this review because while I loved this book, life got in the way and it took me forever to actually read and finish it.  I'm glad I was able to finish the last 100ish pages in one chunk thought because you need to pay attention when reading the end!  Brown does an excellent job of weaving all the storylines together and writing a satisfying ending to this complex book.  Overall, The Book of Doors is filled with adventure and magic to create a complex story that will delight any reader who has dreamed of magical books.  I can't believe this was the author's debut and I look forward to reading more from him!

Thank you Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for the eARC of The Library of Borrowed Hearts!  All opinions in this review are my own.

While I enjoyed this one, I found the pace to be very slow.  I loved the storyline of Jasper and Catherine, and Chloe finding their correspondence in the books.  When it wasn't focused on that, I impatiently waited for it to go back.

Thank you Poisoned Pen Press and NetGalley for the eARC of That Night in the Library!  All opinions in this review are my own.

I was worried going into this thriller because I had seen a lot of negative reviews, but I shouldn't have been!  I always like closed room mysteries so being stuck in the dark basement of the library was a great set up for this one.  I've seen a lot of complaints about the characters, but I feel like they weren't written to be liked and they were erratic because they were on acid the whole time.  My favorite part was how everything came together and the twist at the end!  Overall, this was a quick, creepy thriller.

Thank you Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the eARC of Fake It 'Til You Make It!  All opinions in this review are my own.

Fake dating is my favorite trope and it truly carried this romance.  The premise and execution were good but I found the characters to be unlikable.  While it's necessary for characters to have flaws, any side character that was introduced was described in a negative light.  Some rightfully so earned this, but even the siblings of the main characters didn't come across as particularly likable.  It also really bothered me that Abbey refused to tell anyone that her boyfriend cheated on her, especially when she was being accused of cheating herself.  Overall, this romance is a decent fake dating story but the characters needed work.

Thank you Tor Teen and NetGalley for the eARC of Twelfth Knight! All opinions in this review are my own.

I love Twelfth Night so when I heard Twelfth Knight was a modern retelling of it, I knew I had to read it!

Unsurprisingly, I absolutely loved Twelfth Knight!  Despite knowing the story already, I liked this modern retelling that included many references to a Dungeons & Dragons-like game and RPG video games.  Follmuth includes new twists on the storyline too in order to make it fresh.  Even if you don't know the original play, Twelfth Knight is a fantastic YA romance that I highly recommend!

Thank you Sourcebooks Landmark and NetGalley for the eARC of The Last Murder at the End of the World! All opinions in this review are my own.

After loving The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, I have been waiting for Stuart Turton's next mind-blowing mystery. While I was disappointed by The Devil and the Dark Water, the premise of The Last Murder at the End of the World seemed like it was going to be amazing!

I don't think Turton could ever write a book that is twistier than The 7 1/2 Deaths, but The Last Murder at the End of the World delivered a similar kind of reading experience.  I like going into his books not quite sure what is going on or who to trust.  The Last Murder does an excellent job of slowly revealing details until the story comes together very quickly at the end.  It is better knowing little about this book before reading and trying to avoid spoilers at all cost to make the experience better.

Thank you Wednesday Books and NetGalley for the eARC of This Day Changes Everything! All opinions in this review are my own.

This Day Changes Everything is part Dash & Lily and part The Lizzie McGuire Movie. While I can see it being a really fun read for a teen, it stressed me out as an adult that Abby and Leo were wandering around the city (and yes, I do recognize I'm not the intended audience for this book). I did really like how Abby and Leo navigated their way through both their adventure and their budding relationship. The author does an excellent job of showing the range of queerness and characters who don't want to be defined by labels.  The scene in The Strand where Abby and Leo find a group of people they feel like they truly belong with was sweet.  Overall, this is a fun teen adventure in New York City.  The author shows both the good and the bad of New York, and created truly loveable characters.

Thank you St. Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for the eARC of Love, Naturally!  All opinions in this review are my own.

While the romance between Presley and Beckett was just okay, what I liked the most about this romance was the setting!  I would absolutely love to vacation to Get Lost Lodge!  I continued reading this romance more for the renovation of the cabins than the actual romance.  I think what threw me off right from the start was that Presley (who is supposed to be on vacation) is willing to stay in a cabin with a strange man when Beckett could have easily just stayed with his sister.  Overall, not my favorite Sophie Sullivan romance, but I hope she writes more set at the Get Lost Lodge!

I loved the concept of Funny Story but the execution didn't deliver like it promised.  Although this sounds like a fake dating romance, it really isn't.  While the second half was much better than the first, I found the first to be slow.
