This is stated in the contents but Those Snow White Notes was initially a One-Shot and was only serialized later.

Honestly I really enjoyed the one-shot (roughly half of this volume). While it wasn't a "happy ending". It felt complete. I enjoyed it quite a bit even, even if I felt really uncertain in the beginning.

The first two "tracks" of the serialization also included in this volume. Was not something I enjoyed though. It felt cliche, and flat. It is the cookie cutter "up and coming artist" story.

So I'm not sure I can recommend this book to others.

This is Gay and it SLAPS!

It's got some hella great representation. Women Supporting Women. Queer People supporting other queer people. A diverse group of ladies and gentlethems that make up the Cheer Team as a whole.

The character growth in this book is fantastic and honestly I think this is one of my favorite "glow-up"/Make-over scenes ever.

My only complaint is that apparently someone let these girls all wear different colored shoes to go cheer in. No way that would ever happen.

I feel like I don't have a ton to say about this book, it really wasn't my cup of tea.

I found the magic system incredibly intriguing and wanted to know so much more about it, as well as the fact I'm a sucker for Historical Fiction and the trope of "Marriage of Convenience to Genuine Love".

Honestly the part that I couldn't really find interest in was the actual Murder Mystery. I just couldn't bring myself to honestly care about it, it felt like the mission you slog through because you enjoy the characters and want to help them.

I am not sure I will continue with this series further just because the plot point that would have kept me reading was resolved at the end of this book.

My immediate reaction:
"I have a girlfriend already, but what am I supposed to do when another girl confesses to me?!"
Dude I'm all for Polyamory, but this entire line tells me you haven't discussed this with your current girlfriend, so the answer is simple. Tell them 'sorry but I'm in a relationship.'
- or break up with your current girlfriend, you don't seem like a healthy match tbh.

At no point after this do they actually have a discussion about boundaries and expectations in this relationship that they are undertaking. Also just moving in together, like even negating that they are teens. That's insane.

Also there is an absolute disregard to Saki's non-consent, but also the general manipulation that exists to allow for Naoya's ability to have his way. Along with the fact he never actually listened to her, she rejected him FOR YEARS. Like on top of this unhealthy relationship it promotes the idea that you can just wear someone down until they will date you.

The humor of this manga is placed in the fact that Saki is having feelings towards Nagisa. Making this the butt of a joke. Which is gross.

TLDR;
This is Toxic.
It's Queerbaiting and will cause whiplash!

Did I enjoy the first story? Yes.

But the rest of them left me wanting and were overall boring.

Patching up friendships, cutting of toxic relationships and includes the goth pre-teen we all wanted to be.

W H O L E S O M E
Do you need a reminder that there is good in the world? This manga is IT!

Inori is a wonderfully unique spitfire, that makes you want root for her. She feels genuine through and through, from her anxiety to her passion.

Tsukasa is incredibly supportive, and does an amazing job supporting Inori in her growth as a skater, as well as her mental health. His drive to ensure she feels like she has agency in her growth as a skater is also awesome.

WOULD RECOMMEND!

It's Gay. . .potentially?

I honestly didn't enjoy this manga, not due to it not being super in my face about it being gay. (The gayness portrayed feels like the standard comedic relief we'd see in any romance manga)

I'm interested in Koshiba, she seems sweet and I can see so much there. But I found myself hating Sahoko, and even more so her friends (Anna in particular).

Every bit of this manga felt forced, or much like Sahoko fake on the surface.

It wasn't for me that's for sure and if you're looking for sweet gay fluff, it's not for you either.

Is it gay? no.
But honestly I'm loving the set up of the super popular guy obviously likes girl, but she's oblivious because she's to busy pre-tending to like him. (But is actually falling for him).
Especially since I nearly died of awkward laughter when Chigira-kun says "Mission Cleared"
It is one of the first manga's in a while to cause me to truly laugh.

It's adorably sweet and while nothing really sticks out about it I think I might continue it just because of how wholesome it is.

Herve may genuinely one of the characters I've ever found myself dislike so much. But he has some awesome friends.

This was honestly not super interesting overall. A pretty general Man vs Society / Man vs Society conflict. It felt very surface level and not very interesting overall.

Also while listed as humor I didn't even crack a smile reading this.
