I feel I'm about 10 years to old to be in the demographic for this manga. As I've been out of High School for a long time now.
This made my heart swoon as a person who hid behind books, and did my best to be invisible in High School. Reading this is super sweet.
Takasago is slightly overbearing but it seems to be coming from a good place.
"If 100 people read the same book, each of them will have a different impression of it"
If you don't mind / enjoy sickeningly sweet love stories, this is for you.

I lost my PDF of this book in switching phones, and I found it last night and immediately opened it up, having little recollection of what this book was about and wasn't disappointed at all.
I'm a sucker for Sign Language being an actively shown in graphic novels/manga, especially since it is so rare but I've seen it done so beautifully.
This book did not disappoint it was gorgeously done and made me reminiscent of novels with how snow is depicted and described.
Yuki- Wholesomest of wholesome beans. With an awesome fashion sense.
Itsuomi- Dude needs to learn some personal boundaries. But overall sweet guy.
Rin- Good Friend. Sweet. Has awesome taste in earrings.
Will be continuing with this series for sure.

I was ambivalent about picking up a book that uses "Gender Parity" in it's description. The actual cover which also says "A man who wants to be the hero of a story in which he is the victim."
The pairing together invokes a feeling of dread in me, making me think of types of people here in the United States (typically white men) who complain about any attempts towards Gender and Racial Equality.
So I looked further into this book, and chose to give it more of a chance when I saw that Lou Lubie was not a man. Therefore at least lessening the chance of me seeing a similar narrative to the one above.
I was ambivalent for probably the first half of this book, but I am honestly so happy that I gave it a chance.
This is an honestly beautiful and heartfelt narrative about fear, and how it will consume us if we let it.
I would actively recommend this book.

I went into this book with incredibly low expectations, like already 6 feet under low.
In reality I was pleasantly surprised, and once I set asside thinking about it to terribly deeply I found myself enjoying it.
It overall has some very Ouran Highschool Host Club vibes. In the fact that Lui is basically a copy paste of Tamaki with some extra spice added to him. Just as Sanagi is a femm Haruhi.
It's got the evil (step?)mother. eminent love triangle.
I may pick up the next volume, but I'm not sure honestly.

There is no shortage of vampire manga, and this isn't bringing anything to the party.
There is a really toxic power dynamic going on paired with what is inexplicitly a foot fetish. Along with using girls kissing as a joke. (gross)
The only thing going for it is Kagari and Ryotara's history (since it's played up as something dramatic).
I found this incredibly disappointing overall.

This had me crying at the end.
Forget Me Not, is a beautifully heartbreaking story about the connections we make with people and the importance of treating the elderly with humanity and compassion.
It is beautiful, and full of so much love.

This book reminded me much more of middle grade fiction rather then YA. Just as this books secondary focus is Will's growth as a person and learning his own self worth.
This was an amazingly immersive story. With so much lore and world building that this book feels like this just barely brushes the service.
I also found the artstyle to be gorgeous. It felt sufficiently spooky for the story being told.
If you like spooky fun fantasy stories, you will like this for sure.
Also I just learned it is a spin off series so I will definitely be looking into the original to learn more about this world.

Reading this volume made me both incredibly anxious in memory of my Senior Year of College and made me incredibly nostalgic for my years working as a resident assistant.
I am loving watching the continued growth of the girls and their friends.

My gay self was lured into this book by the prospect of Steampunk(ish) vampire hunter, and I leaped after reading in the publisher notes was the potential of a Video Game (though the timing given has passed) as well as a TV show. The latter I failed to find any information on even after spending a fair bit of time digging.
For me, when I see multi-media storytelling, I get excited, even though I know to expect disappointment.
I found this comic interesting in concept; this is most definitely something that needs to be followed for the long run to enjoy the world and characters truly. However, the way these characters are treated throughout this made me wonder if the side cast is consistently this expendable.
This made me want to know more about this series, and I found minimal direction as to where I should start with this series. There is no real numbering scheme outside of an arch (like Van Helsing vs. Dracula's Daughter). Meaning that I couldn't find a clear answer to where I should start if I were to take up this series.
If you are not actively reading this series, I can't recommend jumping in, and this is definitely not the place to start.
If you have been reading this series, this is definitely the setup for a really interesting conflict.

I was going to give props for their being some content warning from the publisher with this book; I was disappointed to find that in looking further, this is not nearly as straightforward in disclaiming that when the book is for sale. It is not on the back cover or title page, the only note of it I could find was in the kindle preview, and that didn't tell me there; it referred the reader to a different page that is not available in the preview.
CONTENT WARNING: Trauma, Abuse (Physical & Sexual), Grooming, Incest, Prostitution(?) and Pedophilia.
I'm going to start with narration because Ivy Tara Blair, honestly, is what kept me reading even thru the hard parts, her voice was immaculate, and I honestly fit Lilac so well.
While this book covers some REALLY intense topics, at no point was I left feeling like these events existed to show just how bad Lilac's life was piling themselves one on top of the other, it felt more true to real life, where things can be absolutely terrible, but that doesn't mean that good doesn't exist alongside it as well as the fact that when you have known nothing else your normal is going to look a lot different than others.
This story will stick with me for a long time; this book, at its core, is about resistance and growth. Lilac's perseverance and determination to help Esther is heartwarming, along with her dedication to what is right and wrong.
I know with absolute certainty I will pick this book up again because it was so beautifully written and because I'm sure that there were things that I missed in my read-through because of how Lilac perceived them.
