I really enjoyed this!! I haven’t read a ya dystopian series in a while and I forgot how much I get into them! This whole society was really fascinating in a really uncomfortable way. I did get a little bored in the middle of the book but it didn’t last super long so that’s okay! I’m very intrigued to see how the story ends in the 2nd book, especially knowing it’ll be in Carmen’s perspective this time!

I really really loved this!! This is definitely the year of hockey romance for me because I am absolutely obsessed lol I really loved both Anton & Ezra individually but them together was even better! They had chemistry right out of the gate but it somehow got better and better as they started to fall for each other! The only reason it’s not 5 full stars is because I found myself comparing them to Shane/Ilya too much with both of them being enemies to lovers, hockey players and no one will ever be able to quite read the level of love I have for Shane/Ilya! But I really did love this one! 🥰

I really enjoyed this!! It took me a bit to really get into with how abrupt the flashbacks and flashforwards are but once I got used to it, I really liked the style! It was very bittersweet and heartbreaking to be able to see both Leighton & Dylan’s thoughts that they couldn’t share with each other. The art was beautiful and the highlight of the story was definitely the ace & enby rep, I think both were handled really well!

Thanks to NetGalley for the EARC ☺️

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I love timeloop stories and getting to see how different people interpret how to escape them, I think they’re always so fascinating! I think this one was even more special because of the mental health rep interwoven into the plot. Clark dealt with depression before being stuck in the timeloop but being in it really made him come to terms with his loneliness and reach out for exactly what he needed! I do think this book is marketed very wrong though because while the overall purpose of the book is romance and soulmates, there was very little romance in this book and it was really hard to be invested in Clark in Beau as a couple. I think the main reason why is because Beau is in the book for only a handful of scenes and there just wasn’t really any kind of strong connection I felt between them in any of them… I also wish we got to see more at the end but I get why it ended where it did! Overall, I enjoyed it but it wasn’t at all what I went in expecting!

I’m thinking this one is like 3.75 stars? I went into this one expecting to absolutely love it and I just didn’t 🤦🏻‍♀️ once I got to the 50% mark, I really just wanted it to be over already. It dragged so much so I finally had to listen to the last 30% on audio so I could get through it. I really liked Ishu! I loved getting to see her  reconnecting with her sister and come to terms with how her parents treated her and Nik. But on the other side, I just did not like Hani. Like I get feeling obligated to stay friends with someone when you have so much history but Aisling & Dee we’re horrible and the fact that it took her so long to see it was just baffling… I also understand her no making a big deal out of everything when it was them being horrible to her but she just let them be horrible to people she loved too and then acted like they didn’t do anything. I did really love the ending and how everything ended up but idk this one just wasn’t my favorite 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t even know how to properly put words together to explain all of my feelings about this book, all I know is that I absolutely loved it! Am I surprised? No, I’m literally loved every single thing Becky has released but this one just feels so special in so many ways! I’ll end up posting a full review once I get my journal spread put together but for now, I’ll just say that this book is a must read and I truly feel privileged to have been able to be in Imogen’s head and Becky’s heart for the time I was reading it 🩷

I was hoping to read this before the new movie this weekend so I sped through it today and I loved it! It made me even more excited to see the movie!! The Little Mermaid is so special to me and while I love the Disney movie so much, I also love different takes on the story and basically anything I can get my hands on that has to do with this world! I really enjoyed the similarities between this and the Ariel’s Beginning movie and I think it really helped set up the merworld for this new movie! Especially the ending really alluding to what’s going to happen in the near future! Another thing I love about stories like this and how they don’t revolve around Ariel changing her whole life for Eric (I do love Eric though so don’t get me wrong), I think it’s really nice to see how curious and independent Ariel has always been and always will be. Anyway, seeing the movie on Sunday & I cannot wait 🤗

This was really good!! When I read that one of the main characters had ocd and it had a yellowjackets vibe, I was instantly sold and it did not disappoint! I very much did not expect the supernatural aspect of the story but I think all of it was executed so well and everything came together perfectly by the end.

Outside of the horror/mystery aspect (which was great), my favorite thing about this book was how important female friendship was to the plot! Living with ocd my whole life, I understand how isolated Claire felt her whole life and how terrifying it is to show anyone all of you in fear that once they see the “crazy” they won’t want to be around you anymore and how special it is when you find the people that celebrate every part of you and help you find strength within yourself through their love!

Definitely recommend this one to anyone that like horror, mystery, mental health rep, yellowjackets, or survival stories!

Okay this one was very conflicting for me and I had such a hard time deciding on a rating because on one hand I absolutely adored the characters and it was very easy to root for Marvin & Olan as a couple but on the other hand, the main conflict was so frustrating as it went on and on and on.

For one, I think the book was way too long and that’s what made the conflict feel so repetitive. I was honestly just ready for it to finally end at a certain point. But also there was sometimes a disconnect in the way conversations were happening and what Marvin was thinking. Like one second he’d be like “oh Olan is worth it and I know that he’s strong” and then the next it was like “I can’t do this, he’s gonna relapse” and then he would freak out and bolt and then regret it immediately.

Also on a smaller scale, there were some conversations that made me sad because they were very focused on having to find “your person” to ever be happy and as an aroace person, that very much did not make me feel good. And there were a few parts where Marvin & Jill would be talking and Marvin’s character really played into the “gay men are grossed out by women” things and I just think that’s a tired stereotype 🤷🏻‍♀️

But with all that said, it was hard for me not to root for Marvin & Olan to figure things out! When they were good, they were just so good and their chemistry was off the charts! I was also very happy with the ending and how everything ended up!

Another thing is that Ilona is an actual Angel of a human and any scene with her was just so wonderful!! 🥰  Honestly, would have loved to have even more of her throughout the book!

Overall, even with my frustrations, I had a hard time rating it lower because of how much I loved the characters so I’m going with the 4 stars and I’m curious how everyone feels about all of it!

I enjoyed this way more than I was expecting!! I watched the tv show and loved it so I never really had any interest in picking up the book but my friend recommended it for my 12x12x12 this year and I’m really glad she did! I obviously knew the overall mystery because of the show but I loved all of the little things that played out differently in the book and I thought the conclusion was especially great! It’s one of those books that are pretty long but honestly everything needed to be in the story so it made sense! Anyway, just really enjoyed this one!
