EXCUSE ME, THAT ENDING?! 😳 I don’t even know what to say about this one lol this book kept me intrigued from the first chapter and guessing the whole time! But that ending kills me 🤦🏻‍♀️ I really really loved the setting of this one! Amusement Parks just make the best setting for horror/mystery stories and it really helped set the tone! Overall, I really really enjoyed this book, the abrupt ending is the only thing that made it lose a whole star though!

This was so cute 🥺 You know I’m a sucker for the fake dating trope and this one definitely hit just right! The angst was just the right amount for these two pining over each other while they think the other person was really faking! I also really really loved learning so much about Chinese/Singaporean culture through the stories Dylan & his family told and I’m very interested in trying a mooncake now! One of my favorite things about this book was how important Dylan’s family was to him and I just really loved their dynamic and how quickly they accepted Theo into their fold. The only thing keeping me from giving it the full 5 stars is that something felt off as I was reading and I’m thinking it was the pacing of the story but I’m not 100% sure. Still not enough for me not to love it though!! 🥰

This was fine 🤷🏻‍♀️ I loved the concept and the tone made the mystery so much more intriguing but I still don’t completely understand what was going on in this town and I had a hard time differentiating between Bronwyn & Anais’ POV. I think overall it just left me feeling very underwhelmed 🤷🏻‍♀️

This book was SO GOOD!!! I loved Murder for the Modern Girl so I’ve been anxiously anticipating getting my hands on this one since it was announced that Henny was getting her own story and wow, it did not disappoint! I actually loved this one even more than Modern Girl! I’m a sucker for the fake dating trope so I obviously loved that aspect. The pining and yearning while thinking the other one is just faking everything just hits every time and this one was no different! Also it being set in old Hollywood? So freaking good!! I also just absolutely adored both Henny & Declan so being in their heads was just so wonderful!

Kendall has this way of writing stories with magical elements like seeing ghosts or being indestructible or reading minds, etc and weaving them into a historical romance that makes them feel so real and completely believable. And her characters are so well developed and just really feel like real people that you’re given the opportunity to get to know through their own words. And on top of that the romance is so well written and I think she does that by making the characters whole people on their own and allowing them to come together and have a love that’s undeniable!

I’ll probably write more later but for now I’m just really grateful to Holiday House for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review! 💖

This was another on that was interesting in the beginning but then it just got boring as it went. The reveal was also very anticlimactic 🤷🏻‍♀️ There were also just too many characters to keep track of and I got really confused trying to keep up with who was who.

Okay so I flew through the first half of this book but then it got to the second half and I was just bored? Like once the small conflict was solved at about the 60% mark, the rest of it until the last chapter, felt super pointless. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Cobey & Vincent and I love fluff and all the cutesy moments but the plot just lacked depth and honestly some of it felt super unrealistic and kind of soap opera-y 🤷🏻‍♀️ so overall, I’m glad I read it because Cobey & Vincent were really cute but it’s not one I’d go back to in the future.

I really loved the format of this one, that was definitely the highlight of the book! But ultimately the entire book felt pointless by the end? I don’t know how to explain why without spoiling it lol but overall it had a great concept told in a really interesting format but was executed terribly… 🤷🏻‍♀️

This book was a rollercoaster and I’m obsessed with it!!! I’ve loved every one of Karen’s books so it’s not surprising that I enjoyed this one but I honestly think this might be my favorite of them? I just think everything went together so well but was never super obvious! Like I’ve literally never had so many theories throughout a book (I kept a huge notes app list of all my theories while reading because they changed so much 😂) and not been completely right about any of them lol I also just really enjoyed Brynn and Tripp as main characters. They were both so compelling on their own while also having amazing chemistry together! I just really really enjoyed this one a lot!! Highly recommend!!

I’ve adored every single thing Becky has written so it’s no surprise that I loved this one too!! 🥰 I loved all of the characters so much and would honestly love more stories about some of the side characters because they were so great! I also loved the emphasis on platonic love being just as important as romantic love! The romances were also super cute and I also loved the family dynamic especially Kate & Ryan’s relationship! The only reason it’s not 5 full stars is because Kate got a little annoying in the middle of the book but she redeemed herself very well so overall I just really enjoyed this one!! 💖

This was the easiest 5 stars I’ve given in a while!! This will 100% be in my top 5 of the year! I have so much to say and I don’t even know where to start. Ander and Santi are so special and words aren’t enough to explain why. These two just wanted to be together, be happy, and be safe and even though everything was against them, they fought for each other and while it didn’t always work how they wanted it to, in the end what mattered the most was that they were together and happy and safe.

I can’t even begin to comprehend the things they were going through. Especially Santi just trying to survive in this country. The way America treats immigrants is deplorable and disgusting. It’s ridiculous that people are treated like they don’t deserve basic human rights. It’s heartbreaking and I hope our country will care about human beings enough to change in my lifetime 💔

I also just love queer stories that aren’t about coming out or struggling with their identity and don’t get me wrong, I also enjoy those stories as well but it’s such a breath of fresh air when that’s not the conflict! And both Ander & Santi were so secure in their identities (even if Santi didn’t know exactly where he fell) and the people around them were so accepting! It just made a story about struggling to be able to stay together so joyful!

I just love love love Ander & Santi and I will read any and everything that Jonny releases! 2 out of 2 books released so far that I absolutely fell in love with! Highly highly recommend this one!!
