Thank you so much Gretchen for letting me take part in reading this arc! Your book is honestly phenomenal and it has become a favourite of mine and I really look forward to the next one! This releases March 11th, MAKE SURE YOU GET IT! IT IS INCREDIBLE!!!

This book was insanely good, it really creeped the hell out of me, like I actually couldn’t read it at night but that could just be me being a big baby. It’s not only just a story about paranormal, a ghost drawing pictures through a child, but also a girl, Mallory who had been sober for a while, trying to come to terms with moving out into the world and fitting back in, falling for a guy but being too scared to tell him about her past. It also ended up turning into a murder mystery solved, which was actually a really big twist! This story really had me trying to figure out what the hell was going on, who was the ghost? What did the pictures mean? Despite being creeped out by the paranormal, it all ended on a pleasant note and I really liked reading this!

DID NOT FINISH

I unfortunately had to DNF this read. I was super excited to read this and fell in love with the cover art, even the art inside the book.

But it reads like a wattpad story. The plot is a bit all over the place. There’s a lack of world building. The character descriptions aren’t that great. Random names keep getting pulled into the book without any backstory of who they are, so I’m left confused about who is who? The FMC seems to have an attraction to a lot of the males in this book and it’s left me confused again about who is the MMC. It kind of feels like I’m reading a reverse harem. I’m also confused by what era the book is in, as there’s modern terms thrown in the writing? So is it like an urban fantasy or medieval fantasy? And why does everyone have fantasy mystical names, but the demon lords pet crow is called Kevin? It just really threw me off, especially with everything else combined.

I liked the idea that the author had but I just think they didn’t execute it properly and got lost at times or even rushed. Some scenes happened out of no where and I had to re read parts to understand what was going on.

This a review on all the books

THIS BOOK MADE ME CRY LIKE 5 TIMES. THE ENDING THE MOST, and I will not say if it was good or bad crying, you guys can find out yourself! But this book was amazing and written so beautifully, especially with all the wise quotes written inside! It was so magical, the other world they are in and the places they visited, my favourite would probably have to be the market in the clouds, it sounds beautiful, I also really loved the village which made stars with people’s hopes, just the concepts written in this book were really fun to read and take in. I feel like this story was trying to give me life lessons in choices, because it started with a choice and ended with a choice, literally! I loved seeing Hana grow as a character and be the one to make an actual choice even though it could be a sad outcome and I loved seeing her and Kei go on this journey together, learning from one another and falling for each other. I write this as I cry. This book got to me, about half way through reading I realised this book was going to make me emotional. But the emotional books are always the really good ones!

This was a very heartfelt read, I’ll say the beginning made me a little bit emotional. But I really liked the characters stories and how they all intertwined with eachother almost. Mainly the cats. And I love Jon

This is my first ever werewolf/vampire read as well as an Ali hazelwood book. I ENJOYED this!!! I think I’ve actually found a new discovery of what I like hehe. But this was a rather enjoyable read, I really like the slow burn between Lowe and Misery as well as the slow bond between them, but then that specific chapter where he was a dick, I kind of felt her pain and felt sad to but it’s ok. I really find Misery quite funny, her inner monologue made me laugh quite a few times and I found her banter with Ana really funny as well as with Lowe. I do wish there was a bit more spice because DAMN, and I did find that some conversations did seem to drag just a tiny weeny bit. But I overall very much liked reading this, and I wanna read more vampire or werewolf stuff so I’m 100% open to recommendations!
