A Serenade to the Elf Queen

DID NOT FINISH
I unfortunately had to DNF this read. I was super excited to read this and fell in love with the cover art, even the art inside the book.
But it reads like a wattpad story. The plot is a bit all over the place. There’s a lack of world building. The character descriptions aren’t that great. Random names keep getting pulled into the book without any backstory of who they are, so I’m left confused about who is who? The FMC seems to have an attraction to a lot of the males in this book and it’s left me confused again about who is the MMC. It kind of feels like I’m reading a reverse harem. I’m also confused by what era the book is in, as there’s modern terms thrown in the writing? So is it like an urban fantasy or medieval fantasy? And why does everyone have fantasy mystical names, but the demon lords pet crow is called Kevin? It just really threw me off, especially with everything else combined.
I liked the idea that the author had but I just think they didn’t execute it properly and got lost at times or even rushed. Some scenes happened out of no where and I had to re read parts to understand what was going on.
