“I am a tool of vengeance now,” I uttered. “I exist to destroy those who came for me and my family.” I could feel my fingers tingling, a similar feeling to the one I got before lifting my sword for the first time in battle. That’s what this feeling must be—battle lust.

For She is Wrath follows Dania who has been betrayed and falsely accused of a crime she did not commit. She plots out her revenge against those who have wronged her and won’t let anything get in her way.

I appreciated the Pakistani lovers to enemies romantic fantasy elements of this book. This is a plot-driven book with an almost singular focus on revenge (no surprise, given the title). These are not themes I normally read and I didn’t really find myself getting into the book until the last 20% or so. I thought about not finishing it a few times but was curious to see it to the end. If these are tropes you enjoy or you’re a fan of The Count of Monte Cristo, this could be a good fit for you.

Thank you NetGalley for an advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review!

This is such an important narrative about a dark time in US history. George shared his experience as child in Japanese Internment Camps and the impact on his family. This is a time that was so impactful and harmful to many but is often glossed over in history classes. A required read for all!

Whether you're a fan of a good Rom-Com, Survivor, dating reality show, or one or all of the above, Attached at the Hip is the perfect read for you! Our main character and Survivor super fan Orie heads on a journey of growth when she applies for Survivor only to be immersed in a romantic version of the show. As I went on this journey with her through all the twists and turns that come with alliances, challenges, and maybe even love, I found myself gasping and laughing out loud with each page turn. This was such a fun read and one I highly recommend for those looking for a rom-com with a true focus on relationships.

Thank you, NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an early look at this May 2024 release!

I really wanted to like this book - it’s a gothic horror with thrilling elements, a women forward cast with diverse identities. And I just couldn’t get into it. I kept hoping for more each chapter so I kept reading but often found myself confused or lost in the writing.

If you've started to delve into the world of nutrition and health research, this book can be the deep dive that you're looking for. I was hoping for something more profound or with a clear takeaway but it's almost an over abundance of information so my advice would be to take what works for you and leave the rest to start out.

I also wasn't a fan of the author narrative style itself which likely impacts the way I feel about the book but I definitely left with some nuggets to apply to my own life.
