"Owl I need is you".
The first time I ever read a contemporary book of 13-year-olds, it has been a great choice. Not only that has representation, but the autism and queerness, too.
I understand this is a light read for a younger audience so Ellen's queer discovery isn't explained a lot, but it was written well nevertheless, the author did what the book wanted to do. I wish there was a book with Isa as the main character explaining their story.
Elle's autism gave me a new perspective of the spectrum because, yes, I've read books with autism representation, but not like this.
I was sad when I knew it was going to end because it got me hooked since the beginning and I just wanted to protect Elle and their friends.

I couldn't quite connect with June because I've read many characters like her and I wasn't sure that I was going to like the book as much as I do now that I finished it, though I connected strongly with Day and I could actually feel his pain and, boy, was the last part of the book painful. I'm intrigued to read the next books and I hope they're as good as this one. I'm a sucker for dystopians and this wasn't the exception!
"Love is illogical, love has consequences".
This series is just like fine wine, in the sense that the more you read, the better it gets... and the more it hurts.
