"It's a multicolor wonderland"
Trigger warnings: kidnapping.
In this dual POV between Eden and Daniel, Eden is tired of living in his brother's shadow. He wants to be recognized as who he is, not who he is because of his brother.
Daniel has his secrets and Eden starts having his own, getting involved in activities in the Undercity, which become dangerous once Daniel recognizes what Eden is doing. The two brothers frequently fight and either you're the oldest or the youngest sibling, you can connect with the reasoning of either of them.
There is a plot twist in the middle of the story, something that I rarely see in books, though this makes it progress towards the next one.
I could feel exactly what the characters are feeling, which is something I always cherish in books, I want them to make me feel something.
I think the romance was over the top since the book would be okay without it, though I'm not complaining! I'm happy with how things started and how things ended with the couples.
Probably my top 5 of favorite dystopians, the worldbuilding and narrative were so on point and I could imagine every scenario perfectly.

TW: Drug use (weed), transphobia.
This is the Simon vs. the homosapiens agenda for trans people with its own twist since the anonymous messages come from a place of revenge — from both sides.
I was so close to stop reading it because some of the conversations Felix has with his friends feel cringe and unnatural, but I'm glad I stuck around to finish it. I kind of expected the plot twist, though I'm not mad about it, instead, I was, like "of course it was that!".
I also didn't like the drugs being mentioned a lot. I don't like reading about minors doing drugs, though this is personal and the reason why I didn't give it five stars.
It had very funny moments. It feels fresh and an expected American contemporary YA, just with the mayority being queer, which I'm here for! It's the kind of story I wish it happened to me, the love and acceptance I want in my life.

"I got you something".
"Like a gift?"
"No, like Anthrax. Yes, a gift!"
Suuuuper cute! I wish they dived deeper with both of them being Catholic, but I'll take it.

"You've never heard of Wynonna Earp and you're... a lesbian?"
I loved every word of it. Might re-read in the future.
This was one of the first books I've read with Korean representation and I want to read more books with Korean characters.

Trigger warnings for this book: Racism, sexual content.
I'm so glad I'm finding books with lots of representation, as this one is about a desi lesbian.

"Where you found the real McCoy, the real grace and the real heart-stopping evil, was right inside the human mind."
It could have been way shorter without a problem and I would've liked it more.
