I just felt BORED. I don't know what else to say beyond that. The premise was great and the descriptions of the food and the setting was outstanding, but I just didn't feel anything else. I felt Ruby and Brochan were lacking chemistry and it just didn't feel believable to me. There wasn't much of a plot and Ruby's supposed journey was very lackluster. I just feel like this had such potential but unfortunately fell flat for me.
This was a cute and fun read! I really enjoyed this book, and it's the first of Kate Clayborn's novels that I've read. I loved the premise of the book and Georgie's journey to finding herself. She and Levi had wonderful chemistry, and I also loved his backstory and how he grew and changed. This wasn't as emotional of a read as I thought it would be, but still was a good time. It remined me a lot of Beach Read by Emily Henry, which I also liked. Sometimes it felt like there was a lot of unnecessary details and it sort of dragged on in parts, but it was worth the payoff of Georgie and Levi's happy ending.
This was a cute and easy read, and while I loved the premise and the cover and the playlist, I think some areas were very lacking. First of all, this is in need of a HUGE edit. There were many grammatical errors, punctuation issues and spelling mistakes. Both of the characters could be very mean at times; Ben's "teasing" was just downright mean at times and not funny or lighthearted or in jest, and Olive said some really mean things just because she was "hurting" and "grieving" and it was just so uncalled for. I know it was supposed to be enemies to lovers and they disliked each other from the start, but there's a fine line between that and just writing your characters as bullies, and then trying to redeem them by giving them a few nice moments and falling in love. Nope. Also, I find it very odd and disconcerting that Olive went from being a teacher to a chef. The reason why is because the ENTIRE book, we hear many times about how terrible of a cook she is, yet she leaves teaching, goes to culinary school and becomes a chef? Not really all that plausible. The drama with Ben and his uncle Dane and the lie he told Olive (well, lie of ommission but still) was quite the reach and felt like a cop out. Ben and Olive did have some fiery chemistry, as evidenced by their spciy scenes, which were done really well and I enjoyed. I also loved the way the author talked about grief and burnout and shined a light on the lack of education funding in this country, teachers getting fed up and leaving the profession, and the importance of the arts in schools. Overall, I thought it was a mediocre debut novel and leaves much to be desired but the potential was there and I look forward to seeing the author grow and possibly reading more from her.

This book is amazing! I have to admit, I was skeptical at first because I really do not like college romances because I don't believe the characters are mature enough for my liking. But this was a college romance done so well in so many ways. I can't even begin to express how wonderful this book really is. It's the kind of book that will make you fall in love, then rip your heart out and have you ugly crying, then put it all back together again. I loved Ari and Noah's love story and yes, even the plot twist that makes the journey all worth it. I didn't think I would like the love triangle aspect but it's so much more than that and not at all what you would expect. This is such a beautiful story of love and loss and finding yourself and the journey to happiness. I highly recommend!
I'm obsessed with the single parent trope now, and I don't mind it a bit. This book was wonderful and so fun to read. I enjoyed every bit of it. I loved the plot and the fact there wasn't any unnecessary drama going on. Adam and Scarlett are the cutest ever, and the age gap between them is so good. The fact that his mom, Beth, was nice and wasn't those evil ones that makes you want to rip your hair out. I LOVED HOW ADAM WAS THE SUNSHINE AND SCARLET WAS THE GRUMPY ONE. That suited them so well, and Adam made me giggle and smile with his personality throughout this book a million times. This book had many healthy relationships and we love to see it. Also, healthy coparenting between Adam and his son's mother. I recommend it for those whom are interested in: ex-hockey player, age gap, single parent, grumpy female and sunshine male.
This book was really good. I love the way the book is formatted, interview style and told from the different years of the band and from each character. It reminded me of Fleetwood Mac, if they were in the form of a book. The drama and tension and music and the themes of sex, drugs and rock and roll. I highly recommend listening to the audiobook, since you have several different voice actors and it really brings the story to life and I could really picture all of the characters and could really connect with the characters and the story that spans years. I'm really looking forward to the show!
“I had no interest in being someone else’s muse. I am not a muse. I am a somebody. End of fucking story.”

Imagine going to your father's wedding and you see him marrying a woman a year younger than you. Who is, to put it nicely, a complete and total witch of epic proportions? Then you meet a smoking hot older man who rocks your world. Then to find out that said man is your new stepmother's father. You're now falling in love with him and now you're all one big happy, messed up family in the best way possible. The novella is a short, spicy read with plenty of erotic moments. If you’re looking for heavy romance, this book is not for you. As much as I enjoyed the book, something was missing, and I couldn't point out what. I think maybe it's because it is a novella and I wanted it to be longer because it's basically just sex and no real plot, but I did enjoy it and would recommend it.
HOLY CRAP! This book blew me away. It was so good and I just can't stop thinking about it. I loved the premise of this book which has Maddie being stood up by her online date, and instead, his father comes and meets her to apologize for his kid not being there and sparks fly! This is an age gap romance and it was refreshing to see the ages being a FMC in her 30s and the MMC in his 50s, instead of a young girl in her 20s. What can I say about Axel? He is everything you could ever want and I love him so much. He's so sweet and caring and protective and generous, and THAT MOUTH ON HIM. The way he feels about Maddie had me at a loss for words. Their relationship is so special and proves that age is just a number. I loved Maddie's character development and going from insecure and not loving herself to udnerstanding her worth and knowing she deserves the love that Axel gives her.
This was an awesome book! It was my first time reading an S.J. Tilly book, but I had heard so much about this series from others that I knew I had to check them out. It was funny and steamy and sweet, packed with everythign you could want in a book. I loved the writing style and how the chapters were laid out; the book was a quick read and flew by. Elouise and Beckett had such great chemistry and I loved how they knew each other since they were young, but it was never the right timing until the wilderness trip. And wow, the spice in this! Whew, it was hot. I actually really liked that we got some mystery and suspense and some chaotic moments, as it made the book even more fun and really felt like an adventure as opposed to just your typical romance.
Lucy Score never misses. You want a good book that will show you a good time? Read anything she writes. I was so excited to return to Knockemout and get Nash's story and it did not disappoint. I was nervous, because I didn't think anything could be as good as Things We Never Got Over, which is the first book of the series. But it was so good! This packed a punch with all of the swoon worthy moments, the spice, the banter, the pining, the mystery and suspense. I missed getting to see everyone in town, inclusing Knox and Naomi and of course, the tension and drama between Lucian and Sloane. Lina and Nash had such great chemistry and I loved the development of their relationship. Bash adopting a tiny dog and falling in love with her and dressing her in sweaters? YES PLEASE. I think we're all waiting with bated breath for Lucian and Sloane's story and I can't wait for September.
