I have been a huge fan of this series, and I also loved Amy Tintera's other duology! I was wondering how this would end. Good? Bad? Ugly? I'll just say it ended how I wanted, but the road getting there wasn't fist pumping worthy.
I did like this book, but didn't love it as much as the other two. I liked Galo, but I wasn't rooting for his chapters in this book. I just wanted to keep getting back to the others'. However, his relationship with Mateo was extremely cute.
Loved Em! Loved Cas! My two little babies will forever hold a special place in my heart. Olivia was still cray-cray and as hostile as ever.
I actually think this trilogy would have worked better as a duology, but it was still fun, full of action, and sprinkled with cute romance. Plus, Tintera's dialogue is always the best!

I always feel like I'm coming home when I read Armentrout's books. They are always addicting. And I love characters she writes with A+ personality. I actually liked this one better than Moonlight Sins, and as usual, there was plenty of swoon.
What I liked best about this one was the slow build up between Gabe and Nikki. There wasn't kissing or anything until farther in the book, although there was plenty of attraction and cute moments. I thought the relationship between Gabe and Nikki was better in this one because they had known each other before. I always love those circumstances. Also there was some good drama!
I will say, the book did sort of feel long and could have been cut a bit. But that's about it. Now, I'm still curious about Devlin's book because he's been my favorite brother since the first book, so I'll have to see what happens to him!

First off, there’s another book, right? Because this book left me with too many unanswered questions! More than book one... so it’s a bit tricky for me here because if there’s another book, then this one was hella great, but if this is the last book then I’m just too flustered to think!
I’m just going to go ahead and say that the world that Stephanie Garber has created is freaking cool and amazing. I thought Tella was a decent character, although I did like Scarlett more.
As with Julian, I really liked Dante. Stephanie can write some great males! Even the new character Jacks was incredibly intriguing. I love the mystery behind the curtains, because I never know what's going to be revealed to me. Who is Legend? Where is Legend? What is Legend? Do I know? I think I know! These books really do feel like a game, and a game I enjoy playing.
So again if this is the last book, then I’m sort of pissed lol. But if it’s not then bravo, bravo, bravo. If you want a great place to escape, then try to find your way through Caraval and live through Garber's gorgeous writing!

I've been having a problem with the newer YA fantasy books lately, so it was nice to get a breather from that business. I've read clone type books before, so this was a pretty fun take on it. Kind of The Islandish mixed with a soap opera, I'd say.
At first, at the beginning, I didn't like the political type feel, so I had to zone that out. But once we get past that it really gets flowing. The romance aspect was the best part—I really adored Levi. There were a lot of times when I was questioning what was going on with him—never quite sure what was behind that persona.
Emma was a great character, thank goodness not annoying! I've been getting too many boring or uninteresting female characters on my radar lately! She was smart and always seemed to ask the right questions. I will say, I guessed the twists pretty early on, but I've read so many books and seen so many movies, I'm rarely surprised these days.
The author's writing was right up my alley. She had a good way of pulling me in without me getting bored with pointless descriptions. Yes, it does end on a cliffhanger, and yes, I want to read the next book!

I'm super picky with contemporary books. I can read them quickly but most of the time I'll be rolling my eyes. But this one was so much fun! I liked the banter and bickering at the beginning between Aubany and Ryan. Also, Aubany is like the coolest name ever!
Yes, there were awesome swoony moments! Ryan had some super cute moments, especially the singing stuff! There was even some mystery sprinkled in which made the book a real page turner. I also loved the setting—the island was perfect. Don't worry this wasn't a Blue Lagoon type thing—there were other people on the island.
Loved the writing, loved the romance, loved this book! This is the perfect summer read since that time of the year is already here!

I'm still no artist after this book, but the steps are easy enough to follow. I feel like with these types of books the first two steps are pretty easy, but then the last two steps, I'm like what's going on??? Especially when shading is involved. I do, however, think kids or people interested in drawing would love this. There are so many cute animals throughout!
Another cool slice of getting sucked into Peyton’s world! Need the next one, please!
I've been seeing both of Cudney's books floating around on Goodreads in my feed for a while now, and I have been wanting to read both of them. I decided to start with his latest one, Father Figure, and I wasn't sure what was going to go down in it. But boy, this book was a twisty, emotional, and awesome adventure!
Let me start by saying I loved the alternating perspectives between 1984 and 2004. First, I love the 80's and second I was 19 in 2004 and loved that year! This story is very character driven and as I've mentioned before, those are my absolute favorite kinds of books.
Let's start with Amalia! Oh man, this girl... I loved this character. Not every girl in life is born a fighter. A lot of times a way a person is raised can have a huge impact on who they become. Amalia had one of the worst kind of mothers possible. After a tragedy with her father, circumstances lead Amalia on a journey where sometimes she doesn't know what she wants—sometimes she is needy, sometimes she wants to find the one goodness she had in life, her father, in someone else. Through all the events, she really grew as a character. And some of the events were downright awful.
Brianna reminded me of several of my friends in high school. Sometimes you just aren't sure of what you want, be it sexuality, a career, life in general. When you're young and even as an adult things aren't always clear. This leads Brianna to also want to find out about her missing father which sets her on a path that leads to all kinds of twists and turns. I'm going to be honest here, I'm quite good at guessing twists, but I did not see these coming.
Father Figure is well written and an addictive novel filled with a bottle full of emotions. I can't wait to read Cudney's other book!

Well that was fun! Kind of had a Buffy vibe but with exorcisms!
