All I have to say is it took me three times to finish this. The first time I DNFed it, second time I skimmed the rest, third time I had to turn to audio to get me through it! I loved book one so much, book two was alright, so I HAD to finish it. There was just so much going on and so many POV's. It's a great series, but sometimes I just need less!!!

A great learning tool for children on how real life is. There are people that will give, give, give and others that will take, take, take. Such a sad and beautiful story.

Ahhh yes, this book makes me want to eat a big pile of stinky cheese shaped like a strange little man. This book had the perfect amount of fair tale weirdness that I needed as a child, and that strangeness is still amazing today!!

I read this way back when I was in elementary school for the first time and thought it was a-a-a-awesome. So, when my daughter came into the world eight years ago, I had to get her books to know what awesome truly is! Anyway, I just now remembered to review this book when I saw Anne's review on it because she knows what awesome is as well! Anyway, I love the views on a wolf that is totally misunderstood! I think we are misunderstood in some shape and form throughout our minuscule existence!

This book was full of cute stories and just what I needed! Armentrout's was my favorite, and I couldn't stop smiling while reading it! I kind of want to go check out a dictionary now! But they were all different and had me feeling good!! Sometimes you just need a short story, or in this case, an anthology of them!!

This is my second Gaiman book, and it's my favorite so far! First, I must say Stardust is one of my favorite movies ever, so I wasn't sure about reading the book! But alas, the time came! There were some different aspects to the book than the movie, and I really liked seeing the differences. I still like the movie better, but Gaiman's writing is so extraordinary. It sucks me in and doesn't let go! Tristran was a bit of an idiot, but he was also one in the movie, too! But I really loved Yvaine, she is a star, and she really shines in the book! Lol, I like what I did with that last line! Full review on my blog https://literarydust.wordpress.com/2017/10/17/review-stardust/

So, this book... I was so satisfied with the last book being a stand alone, and I'm still not sure if I still wish it would have stayed that way. I'm torn apart right now... my soul is seriously split in never-ending pieces that keep turning into more pieces. I'm going to be honest here, during most of the book I was like, "What are we doing here?" There was a whole lot of intergalactic politics that I didn't understand. Love, love, loved Tyrus! Nemesis is awesome! I don't want to give too much away, but the third book will either destroy me completely or make me think it's amazing! Anyway, I love/hated this book because it made me feeeeeeeeeeeel! Which makes a book spectacular!! Full review on my blog... https://literarydust.wordpress.com/2017/10/20/review-the-empress/

I've come to realize that sometimes certain book work in your life at the moment and sometimes they don't. Or something that I read before, doesn't work today. I read this book a while back and ended up scanning most of it. The writing was beautiful, but I just wasn't ready for Lark, Tirus, and the magic yet. However, this week I was! I loved it! I loved the whole bird scenario, because well, I like birds! The prose was lovely, but not overly done to where I'm like this doesn't make any sense—it was spot on. Tirus was very dominant, and I liked that Lark didn't let him walk all over her, and they worked awesomely together! The whole gifted aspect was cool, too, especially Lark with her "word" magic. I haven't read anything like that before! I am now ready for Kjell's story!!

Geez, I love this book. Wonderfully illustrated, and it still gives me such feels!

The atmosphere for this book was my favorite part.
