This book is very well written with a great fleshed out cast that has very distinct voices. 
I really enjoyed the main character as well as all the supporting characters. I enjoyed seeing all the side character interactions in addition to the main plot. I loved everything about this book except for the ending.

I saw no need fo  the second rape at the end, and also the death of Clay, it just seemed completely unnecessary

Basically I feel like ending was traumatic just for the sake of being traumatic with no other reason for it. 

I would have given this 5 stars if not for the ending. 

Very cute and relatable with a great message! 
I enjoyed the cast of characters and character development, perfect for any age to read. 

In the realm of reading it is very hard to say "I've never read a book like this" but with Walking Practice I can say it with confidence and I loved every minute of it!

The scene setting, the characterization, the stylistic choices in visuals and writing were all spot on. 

Good book for beginner witches or occultist. None of the information was new or ground-breaking but still well put together and informative. 

As is the problem with a lot of occult-ish books, very Eurocentric world view. 

While there are stories I enjoyed I didn't love any of them. 

I didn't completely get the message of all of the stories, but I'm going to guess that's because it's translated and it might be a cultural or regional reference I don't get. 

I didn't hate it, but definitely not my favorite read either. 

Basically a sex journal with no structure and no point. 

I knew this was getting one star when the author said "Are reparations in white boys' mouths? I wouldn't say yes, but I wouldn't say no either." 

Girl WTH??? No. It's a no for me. 
To equate reparations that are rightfully deserved from centuries of enslavement and racism to receiving oral sex from a white man is disgusting.  
Will never read anything from this author again. 

This was a lovable modern fairytale with a cast of diverse and memorable characters. 

I loved everything about this book and the message it teaches, definitely would recommend!

I may be biased as a lover of fairytales, but this was super cute!

This was an very enjoyable quick read! 

All the characters are well written and fully fleshed out. I was invested in the story line and seeing how the mini suspense played out. 

Even with all their flaws, I enjoyed each character and rooted for them all. 

I really enjoyed this one but the ending and lore kind of let me down. 

The story line and build up were great, but the actual reveal and lore confused me greatly. 
I was hoping that at the end it would all come together for me and I would have this moment where everything clicked, unfortunately that didn't happen. 

I think that if me reading this as an adult was confused then the actual age range audience for this book would probably be even more confused than me. 

I didn't dislike this book but I also didn't like it. It reads very much like a memoir but it's not a memoir. 

I wish it was written less like a memoir and more like just regular literary fiction in chronological order.  I think not making it chronological brought the overall storyline down for me. 

Personally, I was very engaged until chapter 15 which is where I believe the timelines start to go all willy-nilly and I lost my interest after that. 

I also did not care for the main character, I was not particularly interested or invested in his story and I don't think there was any character growth. 

Like I said  not terrible but not great, took me forever to finish especially after chapter 15.
