Typical struggles of being a teenager in a different country and struggling to find their identity have been well portrayed in this book. The characters are written well and the plot was fast-paced as well. What struck with me in this book is the struggle to find an identity. There are too many emotions to feel and I was an emotional mess at the end of the book. Overall, I liked the book though I felt that the story was not that impactful as I expected. I recommend this to all YA fans

Wow! This book is such a happy read for me. I loved reading every word of this book. When Nathan Jones is resuscitated from death due to some rare syndrome, how his life changes is the theme of the book.

The dry humour in the book is outstanding and I laughed out loud in many places earning weird glances. But who cares? The characters are funny and quirky and I imagined being in their company.

The author did a great job in writing these characters each with their own quirkiness. There is everything from love to disgust to weird monologues. This is such a light-hearted read for me in my most terrible time and I'm forever grateful for that. I recommend this book to all the humour fans.

The thing I liked about this book is the interlocking chapters between the past and present. The alternate chapters were good enough to understand the nature of the story as well as the characters.

The characters are well written that you can actually picture them doing those things while reading. We have both likeable and unlikeable characters (Boy! Do I hate Gideon?). The plot was action-packed and it never sagged throughout the book.

The struggles of a woman being cheated by her long term boyfriend and her coping mechanisms are actually relatable. What went wrong with Julia's life(protagonist) was analysed to the point in the story. How living with an abusive and manipulative husband can change your life is the highlight of this book (according to me). Overall, it maintained the mystery with a typical plot-twist.

I recommend this book to all mystery-loving fans.

I love Jodi Picoult's writing. I know that she has a pattern of having medical conditions and a courtroom scene. But I don't care. It's my guilty pleasure.

This book talks about racism and white supremacy. The plot is well structured and the writing is also good.

But I couldn't connect with the characters. It may be because in from India and I don't face these problems regularly in my country. Though I can't connect with the characters, I could understand their emotions and their conflicts.

I enjoyed reading this book but I felt that something is missing. I can't point it properly. Overall, it's a good one time read.

When a sweet and sensitive boy is being a constant victim of bullying by his classmates from kindergarten and his parents are also not helping him exactly, what will he do? He's longing for love and friendship. And everyone he loved has betrayed him in one way or other. How he is going to cope with it? By being a murderer? That's the gist of this story. He was bullied for a long time that one day he snaps and goes shooting around his bullies.

I was dumbfounded to read such hatred among the school students. Hatred among high school students is at least understandable. But right from kindergarten?

Coming to this book, I found the writing is hasty and incomplete. The POVs are changing from person to person and it's confusing to read. But even then you get the concept so clear that it hits you like a truck. The boy Peter is so longing for love that he decides to do anything to get his friend back. But she is better off with her own set of friends who bullies Peter.
Actually, it's understandable. Nobody wants to be friends with the guy who gets bullied. The social hierarchy in a classroom is explored well.
The worst thing is after reading this book, I thought about the persons whom I might have bullied but I had no idea. Apologising for my behaviour or feeling remorse at this point won't do any good now. But I do feel ashamed that I would have been a bully to someone.
So this is such a thought-provoking book though the writing is not that great and I recommend to all the teachers, parents and students.

Alright! This is my second Liane Moriarty book and I should say that I like this one better than My Husband's Secret. This is also the second book that I read about bullying.

Three women who keep a secret each are somehow tangled into a murder case. What will happen then?

The narration was vivid and the characters were relatable. The book discusses every woman's problem from ageing to facing domestic violence.

Though it touches the concept of bullying and domestic violence, it is not deep enough to create impact. The concepts are shallow but the story delivered what it wanted to deliver.

In Nineteen Minutes, we read about a child who was bullied throughout his life. But here we see a child(of 5 years) who was accused falsely of bullying another child. Here we get to see how it impacts the mind of a 5-year-old and how he copes with it.

Apart from all these things, what I love in this book are the women. There are so many women with so many qualities and the politics and the bantering, I just want to keep on reading about them. For example, we have a character who was raped and has a body image issue, we have another character who feels jealous about her daughter leaning towards her stepmother and we have one more who is a victim of domestic violence. It has a multitude of characters.

I get to know how complicated women's mind is and how we feel everything(i mean EVERY single thing). Then women in this book had their share of differences but when it came to helping another woman, they set their differences apart and united to help her which was fascinating.

It started off as a normal women's fiction then it proceeded to talk about body image issue, domestic violence, struggling with a teenager and dealing with cheating husbands. Oh! Don't forget the unexpected twist. I see why this is a bestseller.

This book is an excellent potpourri of family dynamics, crime, mystery and an unexpected but surprisingly good plot twists.

After I finished this book I thought 'Wow! What a family!'. Honestly, every family has its own secrets and hardships. But this family just blew my mind.

I found myself skipping a few lines to catch more insight into the story. The story is plotted well and the characters are fantastic. IMO, the book is ridiculously well written.

The book had me on the edge as the secrets uncoiled. I was guessing the murderer but I was wrong each time. But when it revealed, I was flabbergasted. Overall, I enjoyed this book and recommend to all murder mystery fans.
