Every 1 in 3 child gets bullied worldwide. Is it shocking to hear? Do you know the psychological effects of bullying can vary from anxiety to panic attacks to depression to suicide? What are we going to do about it for our future generation? That is our QOTD for the day.
When a sweet and sensitive boy is being a constant victim of bullying by his classmates from kindergarten and his parents are also not helping him exactly, what will he do? He's longing for love and friendship. And everyone he loved has betrayed him in one way or other. How he is going to cope with it? By being a murderer? That's the gist of this story. He was bullied for a long time that one day he snaps and goes shooting around his bullies.

I was dumbfounded to read such hatred among the school students. Hatred among high school students is at least understandable. But right from kindergarten?

Coming to this book, I found the writing is hasty and incomplete. The POVs are changing from person to person and it's confusing to read. But even then you get the concept so clear that it hits you like a truck. The boy Peter is so longing for love that he decides to do anything to get his friend back. But she is better off with her own set of friends who bullies Peter.
Actually, it's understandable. Nobody wants to be friends with the guy who gets bullied. The social hierarchy in a classroom is explored well.
The worst thing is after reading this book, I thought about the persons whom I might have bullied but I had no idea. Apologising for my behaviour or feeling remorse at this point won't do any good now. But I do feel ashamed that I would have been a bully to someone.
So this is such a thought-provoking book though the writing is not that great and I recommend to all the teachers, parents and students.
