What if you had a chance to relive your life to undo your regrets? What if you could do it over and over again until you found the right life for you?
Nora Seed gets this chance one night after attempting suicide when she wakes up in The Midnight Library. A place between life and death, that has infinite possibilities for a new life. Mrs. Elm, Nora’s school librarian oversees the library and helps to point out what Nora might be looking for. She goes through many different lives, but in each of these other lives there is always something that brings Nora back to The Midnight Library.
I thought this book had a really slow start. I really struggled to get into it. Then, about of a third of the way in, Nora ends up in the Arctic, and I felt the story finally picked up.
There are a lot of different lives that Nora goes through. Some I loved while others didn’t seem needed to help the story. I loved Mrs. Elm and the wisdom she imparted. I found the ending a bit predictable, but honestly loved it. I felt all the feels in the last three-four chapters that I was looking to feel throughout the entire story.
This is definitely a unique take on the what might have been story.

Why would a girl who is afraid of clowns read this book? Well for Spooktober of course! Also, because a good friend recommended it. Surprisingly, I actually ended up liking this book. Was it gory? Yes. Was there a creepy clown? Absolutely! But the author did a great job with keeping me on the edge of my seat to figure out what really was going on.
I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator, Jesse Vilinsky did a fantastic job. She brought the characters to life and made the reader feel their fear. Man, I would have hated to be in these kids situation, and she brought it to life making it even creepier.
I think YA horror is more my speed when it comes to horror books, and I look forward to finding more books like this one.

Jessica Miller is so excited to return to college for her 10 year reunion. She wants to show her friends and everyone else just how successful she is. After always being second best, it’s her time to shine, but what she didn’t expect when she arrived was someone bringing up her friends unsolved murder of senior year.
This book was totally a Bookstagram made me do it purchase for me, and I’m so glad I did! I absolutely loved this story. One of my favorite tropes is flashback to college murder mysteries, and this book did this so well.
This book is told in dual timelines from present day where 6 college friends are forced to face their past and try to solve who actually murdered one of their best friends to the past and their days at college leading up to the murder. The timeliness flowed so seamlessly together. Usually it’s easy to find a point to take a break between timelines, but with this book, I just didn’t want to put it down.
All of the characters are flawed, unreliable, and not necessarily likable, but I still enjoyed reading each of their stories. There were times I thought I knew who it was, but then I would be taken by surprise with a twist. Although by the end I did know who it was, I still wanted to continue to figure out their motivation, and I did not see the last shocking twist coming at all!
I’m so glad that I read this book! I highly recommend it for fans of campus thrillers, dual timelines, and multiple points of view.

Thank you Love Books Tours and Wild Pressed Books for my gifted copy in exchange for my honest review.
This is a beautifully written book about family and making the right choices. Tracey Scott-Townsend definitely knows how to write an atmospheric story transporting the reader to the setting.
I enjoyed reading about Mariana and her struggles with deciding if she should meet her dying birth mother knowing how it would make her adoptive mother feel. I loved her relationship with her son Gabe and seeing how much she loved and needed him. Gabe was a brightness in an otherwise dark story.
Mariana’s choice is the main focus of the book, but it is told from multiple points of view. I usually love this in a book, but did feel there were too many perspectives for this story. Although this book is a standalone, I wish I had read the author’s previous book, The Last Time We Saw Marion, to get some more of the back story. I did find myself confused at times especially with so many similar names - Mariana, Marianne, Marion, and Maria. Once I was able to figure out who was who, the book did flow better though.

I chose this book as my September Book of the Month book, and I’m so glad I did. I absolutely loved this story.
Alice Feeney writes such a creepy and atmospheric story and transports her readers to this spooky church in Scotland. I loved the dual timelines and how the flashbacks were told in a letter format on each of their anniversaries.
Feeney threw in a lot of red herrings so I thought the person tormenting Adam and Amelia was one person and ended up being completely wrong. There is a huge twist thrown in that I didn’t see coming at all. This twist was fantastic and totally made the story even better.
I thought the face blindness that Adam had was an interesting part of the plot. I had never heard of this before and found it so intriguing.
If you love thrillers than definitely check this one out. This was my first Alice Feeney book, but won’t be my last.

This book has been on my TBR since last year, and I put it off due to lack of time so I decided to make it a priority this year. I really wish I hadn’t. I did not enjoy this book.
First, it took so long for anything to happen. Around page 180 I should have given up and DNF it, but I was determined to finish it. With all the rave reviews, I figured it had to get better. I can appreciate a slow burn when something eventually happens, but that did not happen in this book. I was just constantly bored.
Second, when a book is about a haunted house I expect some good scares. Although this book had some spooky scenes, I didn’t find them particularly scary, and I was really hoping for that big scare factor.
Third, this book felt so long. There were times I thought, “Oh good! It’s going to end soon!” Sadly, it just kept going and going. It had some action going on in part four, but even that felt drawn out.
As I mentioned above, there are some great reviews for this book so please don’t let my review sway you from reading it. This one just wasn’t for me.
