Clown in a Cornfield
by Adam Cesare
Why would a girl who is afraid of clowns read this book? Well for Spooktober of course! Also, because a good friend recommended it. Surprisingly, I actually ended up liking this book. Was it gory? Yes. Was there a creepy clown? Absolutely! But the author did a great job with keeping me on the edge of my seat to figure out what really was going on.
I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator, Jesse Vilinsky did a fantastic job. She brought the characters to life and made the reader feel their fear. Man, I would have hated to be in these kids situation, and she brought it to life making it even creepier.
I think YA horror is more my speed when it comes to horror books, and I look forward to finding more books like this one.
