other than giving me an existensial crisis about growing old and alone, it was...okay.

The Hookup Plan

Farrah Rochon

DID NOT FINISH: 31%

not feeling the characters or the chemistry or anything

it’s making me want to rewatch the anime 🥹

and do not talk to me about that short story connect us i’m still emotional

humorous and well written, with lots of discussions on the decline of aristocracy and religion. i just wish they didn’t drop the casual racism on one page for no reason.

june hayward - as much as i dislike her - is a genuinely well written character, and i loved reading all the machinations of her brain and the laughably bad excuses she’d use to justify her actions. some things i wish we touched on more was the relationships, particularly between her family and athena.

ily gangsey

(when adam said ‘i am unknowwable’ or smth he meant me not knowing what the fuck goes on in the next two books)
funny lighthearted

i loved the humour of the characters, but eventually the plot got kind of tiresome? and the third act conflict was basically her getting angry at the same mistake she made four years prior to the start of the book that he got angry at her for. i think i’ll still look into the other books though.
dark emotional reflective

a beautifully written account on the messy lives of people living in new york.

the age gap in this?? why is she seventeen and he’s twenty five??
other than that isabella is a shitty friend and catherine is kinda delusional but just like me
