Ah how I had absolutely loved the first book! I had raved about it endlessly and made so many people read it.
I was skeptical about this second book and Im sorry to say that this just didn’t match up. Man I’m so disappointed. I’m also disappointed that I’m disappointed lol! If that makes sense.
The story and the plot seemed derivative of the famous timeless story of murders on a train. Make of that what you may. It’s not a bad book because this author knows how to write but it’s not something I loved.
Perhaps my expectations were unreasonably high after the first one.

This is my hundredth read of the year and I couldn’t be happier that this was the book that I picked up!
I had the pleasure of meeting Christiana at a book signing and when she gave the elevator pitch for this book I was sold! The premise was so intriguing that I wanted to start reading it immediately!
I inhaled this book in less than 24 hrs because it was so much fun and I was truly hooked. There were so many twists and turns and the best kind of misdirects. I was invested till the very last page.
This is the perfect domestic thriller for the summer or winter or rather the whole year haha!
Trust me you don’t want to miss this book!

I love Lucinda Berry so I was very excited to read this one. True to her style this is a gripping story of two mothers grappling with tragedy.
Amber and Jules are neighbours and their sons despite being the same age aren’t friends. They do however, help each other from time to time. One fateful night when Amber asks Jules to pick up her son from practice because she is stuck somewhere else, amber gets into a fatal accident when her own son Gabe dies but she ends up saving Ambers son and herself.
What ensues is the consequences of the tragedy. I won’t go into detail cause that will contain spoilers. The story is gripping but the ending left me wanting more.
It’s a good book but not the best.

This book brought tears to my eyes the way only Fredrick Backman can! My grandmother died of Alzheimer’s and dementia so this book rang true in the deepest way.
It’s written so beautifully and best of all with so much love and respect. I loved the story and the way it is told!

This is my first John Marrs book and oh my God it did not disappoint! It was gets-under-your-skin creepy and addictive from the very first page.
I couldn’t get enough! The twists were never ending and even though I had guessed the biggest twist I still enjoyed this book thoroughly!
This book is for anyone who can handle dark and I mean DARK stuff. Won’t give spoilers!

Wow! What a book!
It was gut wrenching and did not pull punches when it came to the dark side of psychosis. I could not put it down!
This is NOT for the faint of heart. I don’t think I’m going to ever forget this book… really really great!

This book is so trippy that I don’t even know how the author managed to keep track of all the plot points. This book is genius! I listened to the audio book and I had no idea where the book was headed till the very end. My brows were knitted through out because the moment I felt like I knew what was happening the narrative flipped on its head and went somewhere else!
I have not read anything like it!
Totally and completely mind blown!
