I was very hesitant to read the Twilight series because I've heard nothing but bad things about it for years. Before reading this book, I knew very little about the Twilight universe because I hadn't seen the movies either.
That being said, I understand why some people might not like this book, but I loved it! It was so much better than I expected it to be.
I actually enjoyed Bella as a main character because I found that I had a bit in common with her. I could relate to the feeling of being the new kid at a small school where everyone has known each other their whole lives.
Edward was my favorite character because he made me laugh a lot. I think a lot of it was because he would say things without even trying to be funny and they would come across to people as really weird.
I enjoyed the banter between Edward and Bella. Despite Edward being a little intense and Bella being intimidated by Edward, I actually thought they were good together.
Because so much of the book was about Bella and Edward getting to know each other, I didn't see the conflict coming at all. This made the conflict more intense to me.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book because it was a lot of fun to read, and I loved the characters.

This book had a lot more emotion and suspense than Twilight. I wasn't expecting what happens between Edward and Bella. I felt really bad for Bella throughout this book because she just couldn't seem to catch a break.
It was nice to read more about Jacob. I love the friendship he and Bella develop throughout this book. The scene with Jacob, Mike, and Bella was hilarious to me.
There were a lot of suspenseful parts that I enjoyed because I had no idea how the conflicts would be resolved. I definitely wasn't a big fan of Rosalie in this book because of how she acted towards Edward.
Overall, I loved the friendship in this book and the fact that I couldn't predict what was going to happen next.

Moderate: Death, Blood, Suicide attempt, Murder
This book was stressful to read (in a good way).
I was glad when Jacob started talking to Bella again. Although, the scene where he forces himself on Bella made me think less of him.
I wasn't expecting to learn about Rosalie and Jasper's backstories, and they were pretty rough. It made me understand them a bit better.
Edward was pretty understanding and maybe too calm about Bella and Jacob's kiss. Jacob manipulated Bella into kissing him, but I didn't understand how she could kiss him even though she was with Edward.
I felt bad for Bree and the other newborn vampires since they didn't know what they were doing. I already disliked the Volturi, but this book made me hate them more.
Overall, I enjoyed the suspense throughout the story and the fact that Edward was in it a lot more than New Moon.

This book was a nice wrap-up to the series.
The beginning of this book had me laughing out loud because of Bella's car.
What happened on Edward and Bella's honeymoon was unexpected. I didn't like Edward's reaction though. I understood him, but I still didn't agree with him.
Reading from Jacob's POV was interesting. The titles of the chapters in his part were great. I didn't like how the pack acted towards Jacob and the Cullens.
Renesme was an interesting character because of her unique gift and relationship with Jacob.
I had no idea what was going to happen in the end, but I'm actually glad that it was a bit anti-climatic. The Volturi are trash.
The ending was nice with that special moment between Edward and Bella.

I didn't know what to expect from this book, but I thought it was pretty good.
It was way more gruesome than I expected. There was just so much blood and murder (especially the ferry scene). I felt bad for all of the humans because this book showed how awful vampires could be.
Bree and Diego together was nice. I definitely liked Diego better than Bree. I think my favorite character was Fred because he was so chill.
My favorite parts were those that included the Cullens from Bree's POV. It was interesting to see some of the same events from Eclipse from another perspective.
Overall, this book was good but not really necessary to the Twilight universe.

4.5 out of 5 stars
This was my second time reading this book, and I still really enjoyed it! It was definitely more mature than I remembered it being, so I would classify this as more of a new adult romance than a young adult one.
The part where Annie and Jason meet was great. I could tell that they had great chemistry together from the start.
The relationship that Annie had with her dad was awesome. It made up for the awful character of her mom.
I can understand why Lenny acted the way she did, but I just couldn't stand her as a character. I couldn't understand why Annie chose to continue hanging out with her when she had an entire school full of girls she could've befriended.
Savannah was a nice addition to the story, and I liked that she helped Annie out on several occasions since Annie's mom wasn't helpful.
The text message element to the story was great. I liked how Annie and Jason had good communication, and their text messages were fun.
I felt that the ending wrapped up the story nicely. Overall, I would recommend this book and will probably re-read this book again in the future.

Since Edward is my favorite character in the Twilight universe, I was super excited to read this.
Even though it was a bit longer than it needed to be, I still thoroughly enjoyed this book.
One thing that made this story so enjoyable is the fact that Edward can read minds, and this whole book is from his perspective. So really, I got to read a bunch of other mini perspectives throughout the story.
Reading from Edward's POV really helped me understand him. I didn't realize quite how disgusted he was with himself. It was also funny to see how oblivious he was to falling in love with Bella.
I loved being able to read the meadow scene from Edward's perspective. Meadow scene=swoon
This book did a good job of explaining things that I didn't quite understand like how Edward found Bella when she went shopping with her friends.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and will be reading it again in the future!

I had high expectations for this book because it includes my favorite trope: fake dating. Unfortunately, this book wasn't as good as I expected.
The fake dating didn't end up being a very big part of the plot, and it also included cheating (which I'm not a fan of). Also, Frank's relationships came out of nowhere. All of a sudden he was "in love" and making out with some girl.
For a big portion of the story, I found myself uninterested in what happened to the characters. It did get better later in the book, but by then, I just wasn't invested in any of the characters that much.
I did like David Yoon's writing style because it was unique and interesting. The mixed media formatting was also a big plus.
One thing I liked a lot about this story was the friendship between Frank and Q. They were so wholesome and kind to each other. Although, the way they parted for college was weird. Without spoiling it, something happens that feels like it was just thrown in to the story out of nowhere.
Another positive about this book was the fact that it discussed racism in many different forms. I thought Yoon did a great job addressing the effects of racism.
The last third of the book was really sad, and I wasn't expecting that at all. The ending seemed a little hopeless to be honest.
Overall, this book was just okay. I think there were definitely some issues but also some redeeming points.

Thank you to the author for sending me an eARC of this book. I read the first book in this series last year and really enjoyed it, so I was excited to read this book as well.
This book is the equivalent to a Hallmark-type movie (in a good way). I would categorize it as a clean romance with lots of cute and funny moments.
The chemistry between Haley and Austin was great, and their banter was a lot of fun. I also thought that they had several unique "dates." Although, their first date was not realistic or safe from a woman's perspective.
This book has a revenge plot which isn't really my thing. That being said, I still found it laugh out loud funny and swoony at times.
Even though I didn't want to like Austin because of what he did to Haley, I still ended up liking him because of how awkward and funny he could be.
Overall, this was a nice fluffy romance that would be good to pick up when you're having a bad day. It definitely made me smile, so I would recommend it.
