You ever been rocking with a man that was your man but technically wasn’t your man but y’all did everything that couples do but then you start wanting the title, affection, etc. so you break things off in the hopes of finding someone who will love you, cherish you, DATE you & all the things…that’s basically the basis of this book. 

Now, all of the books on this series is a standalone & can be read separately or without reading the other books, however, for the purpose of Jorja & Walkers story I highly suggest starting from book one because despite them being side characters in the first two books you still get a look at their relationship & dynamic. 

Jorja & Walker started out as friends with benefits but quickly they fell in love (even if they were hesitant to admit it). Jorja wanted more & Walker struggled with that but he quickly realized that he had messed up but boy did Jorja stand her ground & did not let up soo easily or quickly. 

Kimberly really has done it again & I lived this book just as much as I loved the other two.

This book was pure mess/drama from the beginning. From a bitter & delusional friends with benefit situation to back stabbing friends to trifling exes to family drama. It was pure drama from beginning to end but Smoke refused to give up or walk away from veah & they eventually got they HEA but they definitely had to work for it. 

The vibe of this book was different & if you’re not paying attention one would think that the MMC- Ace was controlling & that both him & the FMC- Phat were crazy but actually it’s like this…have you ever been sooo in love with someone where whenever you’re around them it’s like it’s just you & that person, it’s like y’all are in your own little planet or world & everything else around doesn’t matter? That’s the vibe of this book. Both characters are going through the loss of a parent & the potential of losing a parent, the MMC is dealing with the after effects of a scandal & the feeling of abandonment from his dad but when the two of them come together & go to planet ace none of the problems the face matter. It’s a beautiful love story. 

What really made me like this book was the character development of both characters but especially Nyah cause home girl was tripping in the beginning & had me questioning if the author knew what she was doing but she did, she definitely knew what she was doing & I loved it. 
Basically Nyah is a boujee b & is apart of the upper class & was raised to act like but Shai was not going for that & let her know of jump that he wasn’t feeling her attitude or who she was as a person. Eventually Nyah caught on & they started hanging & other things 😏 Shai really forced her to change without making her feel like she was forced to change. He just taught her that her snobbish ways just wasn’t it. I gave this book 4.5 stars because was the third act breakup at 90% really necessary but it was still good & I am glad he made her sweat cause what she said was outta pocket. 

This book was a cute friends or Best friends to lovers book with minimal drama. The love & friendship between the main characters & how they love & supported each other through the mess their trifling friends created. This was my first read by this author & it’s safe to say that I’m about to check out her catalog. 

2.75… I had high hopes for this book but unfortunately I was a little disappointed. I felt as though some of the chapters ended on a cliffhanger, like the chapter wasn’t finished & the topic wasn’t discussed again or it was a while before the topic was discussed again. The final thing that did it for me was the betrayal & two faced bs that the MMC did & it was literally nooo reason for him to lie about his situation especially after the FMC had came clean about her situation. & when the FMC came clean about her situation the MMC made her promise full transparency & was as transparent as a rock like wtf?! & then how you have your girlfriend working for somebody you used to slut out without telling her & never told her. His last groveling act was different but for me it’s still screw him. 

4.75… This book was soo cute & had a side of mess. I love how the main characters were aware of their emotions & needs & also how they communicated with each other. They loved each other unconditionally & would do anything for each other. Sime was a good respectable man that had a rough side to him but baby for Ari he was soft & down bad & I loved it. I also loved how Ari was always on go for the ones she loved especially for little Ms. Kyla. I think the best side character award goes to sime’s mama cause she was hilarious & I loved their relationship.
