This book here 🤯

Let’s start with what stopped me from giving it 5 stars & that’s just some points were a little too wordy for me; I wished the family aspect was bigger Malachi went through something horrific & he’s grieving & I understand he wanted to be isolated but I still wish his family was in this book more.

Now for the good stuff: This book is not like the eisenberg or domino effect series. In those books you may have cried but you definitely laughed & all around it was a good ole time malachi is NOT that. If you read Lawe then you know what happened to Malachi & the prologue (which is long but can be skipped) is Malachi’s POV that night & then it jumps to 2 years later where we meet Aeir. I loooved the conversation of what family, friends & love ones go through when their loved one is in a coma & it’s not looking good (but I’m with Jae don’t unplug me). I loved how Aeir’s parents & best friend supported her decision to move away instead of trying to hover over her. I also loved the aspect of God in this & the fact that miracles surely sue happen.
Also Aussie broke my heart in this. “Tell uncle milo mommy said it’s okay” 😭 She wasn’t in the book a lot but when she was she definitely blew my mind and/or tugged on my heart strings.
Overall this book was good, unexpected & different from her previous books but not in a bad way. Congratulations Ms. Huffington you’ve done it again. Now for Milo.
funny medium-paced

I love a FMC that takes nooo BS & Ariah is the epitome of that. Sis tolerates no bs & will fight with no problem. & her friends are the epitome of ride or die. I loved it.

By far my fav. Of the series (Book 1: uncovering love, Book 2: Blu, Book 3: Kingston) Listennnn Kingston came with BDE HEAVILY & definitely gave them summers men a run for they money. He was not going to let Grey & Blu run him off or bully him & I loved it. The ending of course had me tearing up but the way Tiffany supported her man & even her brother-in-law during that time was really sweet.

At this point this series should be made into a movie or show or something it’s that dang good. Blu definitely gave BDE just like his twin & I loved it. I didn’t expect the stalker to be who it was but it definitely made sense. I also don’t think adding the chapters with Quay & Jeremiah was necessary & instead they could’ve gotten their own book so we could’ve gotten a little more of their history & maybe even a reason why ole boy did what he did.

*** Read uncovering love first***

Damn Wisdom, you that man huh?!
I read forever my savage a couple of months ago (Solana & Tarzan’s story) so I already knew that wisdom & sunny were together but it was still nice to see their journey. I expected the outcome of Nafisa which was sad considering but what I didn’t not expect was that little plot twist with Tristan & Riley but that just goes to show that men really be out here wilding & then expect you to constantly take & handle their BS he nicely got his though but sadly Riley suffered the consequences of messing with a married man cause in the beginning she thought she was winning but by the end she realized she actually lost. Anyway, I hated wisdoms mama & she had no real reason for treating him the way she did but it definitely explained why he felt like he didn’t deserve to be loved & why he felt he wasn’t special.
One thing annoyed me & that was after Sunny found out about Wisdoms secret & how she acted after he explained everything. She wanted the man but was constantly pushing him away & then when he finally was like well I’ll leave you be then she was like you really gone leave me like sis get it together cause huh?! But she finally got right & got her HEA
medium-paced

Liam was OVER THE TOP & I loved every bit of it. I’ve read a couple of J.T.’s books & in every single one the FMC is not a pushover & instead is feisty, has a back bone, will talk back, etc. If you love over top MMC’s who is possessive when it comes to the FMC then you’ll definitely love this one.
slow-paced

This book is an extremely slow burn featuring the friends to lovers & single dad trope.
I didn’t like or understand why we randomly got Ramsey’s POV feat. What she had going on I think it was totally unnecessary. However, I did like the self awareness & accountability of Jules. He knew he wasn’t ready to be a faithful & committed man so he kept Ramsey in the friend zone. Also Jyles daddy wasn’t sh.t but he got it together at the end.

The main point & focus of this book is grief & addiction. Both characters suffered a significant loss which resulted in both of them becoming addicts.
I loved how the two characters supported each other on their respective journeys. I also loved malena & makenna & also how they grieved as young girls.
