4.75… I thought Nero was possessive & crazy but I think King has him beat. King is the epitome of touch her & you die. He literally unalived every person that touched his wife. The only thing stopping this from being 5 stars is I wished Savannah had a little more of a backbone when it came to Aspen. She was scared of her & had no reason to be.

Typical boy has crush on girl when their kids so of course boy does crazy things to the girl then boy moves away but years later boy returns as a man on a mission to make girl turned woman his woman.

If you liked the long shot by Kennedy Ryan or couldn’t get into it because it was too graphic then you should like this book. The only thing I didn’t like was the attempt of a 3rd act breakup at 95%.

***CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS***

The way this book had me sobbing is crazy & the fact that I was crying when I already saw what was coming is even crazier. Ashley’s pen game is ridiculous. I’ve read several books by her & this one is definitely in the top 5.
Simply put Kas & Cevyn were meant to be but was okay with just having a friends with benefits relationship until life happened & they both needed the other & were really able to see that the other person was their person. I loved it.

Boy Ms. Kaelyn pissed me off majority of this book. In the beginning I was rooting for her & trying to figure out why Quentin broke his promise & trying to understand how they got where they were. I first thought that Kaelyn may have been shady when I realized she had a daughter & the math wasn’t mathing to me but then the more I kept reading I realized maybe I was wrong & then I personally wanted to fight sis. Not only did she mess up big time but it’s like she acted as if a simple “I’m sorry” or “I don’t know what you want me to say” was supposed to suffice. Anyway, other than Kaelyn getting on my nerves the book was good. I do feel like the ending was kind of rushed it was like the story was moving fast & good but the main characters couldn’t get their stuff together & then abruptly jumped to 3 months later & then the epilogue where a HEA occurs.

3.75– This book definitely gives Whitney Houston & Kevin Costner vibes. So if you liked their movie the bodyguard then you’ll like this book. I didn’t give it 4 stars because it was a little easy to figure out who her stalker was & it pissed me off that shay couldn’t figure it out. But overall it was a really good book & of course the spice was definitely there & giving 3.5 🌶️

I’m honestly flabbergasted & shook right now but imma try to make this review make sense…
I knew before I reached the 50% mark that this book was going to be a 5 ⭐️ read, however, it wasn’t until about 70-75% when things hit the fan & literally blew my mind. I kinda figured out part of the twist but in no way shape form or fashion anticipated wtf went down.
If you like possessive, toxic, unhinged MMCs then you’ll love Rowdy because homeboy gave not one single f..k. He was brazen af & made nooo apologies but now Atlas was on the same stuff he was on (homegirl almost took him to glory with a golf club cause he wanted to play with her). This book will more than likely make my favorite books of the year list.

I also want a Roc & Demi book just for Halo content 😂

3.75…My only complaint is that as a reader it felt like Nala & Orion was really feeling each other & maybe even loved each other but was hellbent on being or portraying otherwise (more so Nala). Other than that the book was really good. Nala daddy was pure trash 🗑️ but Orion was definitely possessive & I think lowkey obsessed with Nala. I was really glad to see Calli still doing good in the epilogue.

HIGHLY recommend reading in the midst of chaos FIRST & this book does end on a slight cliffhanger… The relationship between Jani & Avery & the adversity they faced was very realistic to me. Avery was just a black woman who was (lowkey) forced to be a cop by her dad & she kinda fell in love with that career choice but she don’t really get down with the cops on groveland. Meanwhile Ajani is the family lawyer who is doing his job & helping his brother & sister-in-law get the Justice they deserve. It’s frowned upon for Avery to associate with Jani because of their careers but neither really give a dang but it also does cause a hiccup in their relationship.

I think I know who the brother is that steps up in the cliffhanger but I could be wrong but can’t wait for the next book.
